Positive and negative!

I went to Las Vegas, glad I went, but no desire to return! :)

Would never return to Warwick Castle. It's quite over rated...and not much even happened there, it just looks the part! :)

Watford Gap Services.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 22/07/2021 11:54

Margate.

Oxford! I found it so boring, weird vibe and lacking in charm.

Tay1980 · 22/07/2021 11:55

Bath, thought it would be beautiful but Harrogate (10 minutes up the road) is far nicer 🤷🏼‍♀️

firefly123 · 22/07/2021 11:55

@PuppyMonkey Grin

NewYearNewTwatName · 22/07/2021 11:55

Pevensey. In fact anywhere along that bit of coast. desolate, depressing and just plain crap.

Spent a week down there a few years ago, jesus couldn't get home quick enough Grin

TheCanyon · 22/07/2021 11:56

Gran canaria. Wind, wind and more wind. Also, London.

Palavah · 22/07/2021 11:56

The USA

NewYearNewTwatName · 22/07/2021 11:57

I thought I must have missed a big part of Oxford as it wasn't at all how I expected it.

Soubriquet · 22/07/2021 11:58

Sundown adventure

Very tired place that charges adult prices for 2 year +

I get it’s aimed at toddlers so they can go on everything but for the price it was, it was very expensive

roses2 · 22/07/2021 11:58

Cuba - beautiful but very ppor, got food poisoning and food and hotel quality (5 Sandals) more like 3 UK. We paid £1k each!

So many questions.

Do you mean Bath or somewhere else or is there another Bath in addition to 'the' Bath? Likewise Harrogate.

Or is there some sort of wormhole between Bath and Harrogate of which I am unaware, as I thought they were more like 5 hours apart?

YesItsMeIDontCare · 22/07/2021 11:59

This country? Kidderminster. I'd also avoid London unless there was something specific I really wanted to see.

Abroad? France.

NewYearNewTwatName · 22/07/2021 12:00

BarbaraofSeville yeah I scratched my head at that too.

Notforme22 · 22/07/2021 12:01

@BarbaraofSeville @NewYearNewTwatName

Presumably pp lives 10 mins from Harrogate

Bath in Somerset? 10 min from Harrogate in N Yorks? Have you ever been to either of those places? Grin or looked at a map? That’s hysterical- what did you mean?
BillyRaywasapreachersson · 22/07/2021 12:02

Nandos.

idontlikealdi · 22/07/2021 12:02

Margate.

Gentrification my arse.

That had me tooGrin
I take it you mean Harrogate is 10 mins up the road from you and not from Bath?

Monoxide · 22/07/2021 12:03

Birmingham. I’ve never gone anywhere else in the UK where people hassled you on the street for money. London, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Newcastle - nobody has ever approached me on the street and made me feel threatened. But in Birmingham it happened repeatedly; on my first walk through the city centre I was approached about 3-4 times and asked for money. It kept happening so I left early because it spoiled my visit.

Oh, I get it now. OP went all the way to Bath from somewhere in North Yorkshire and she thought 'I could have saved myself the bother and just popped out to Harrogate one afternoon'.

DismantledKing · 22/07/2021 12:07

Hastings. What a shithole.
Poole. Ditto

Gertie75 · 22/07/2021 12:07

Scottish Highlands, beautiful place but vast, I was expecting more pretty and less wild, more like the lake district, there are miles and miles of nothing, it was also hard to find decent places to walk the dogs as everywhere was so boggy.

Henlie · 22/07/2021 12:09

Bangkok..... Felt very on edge there 😏

Spottysausagedogs · 22/07/2021 12:09

Washington DC. We were on holiday but the place and people very uptight. Was glad to move on to the next location!

SmidgenofaPigeon · 22/07/2021 12:10

Oh yeah Birmingham. Stopped there for a night on way back from a wedding. Booked into Clayton, they had some weird bank holiday party, I’ve never seen such sights in my life. Twenty year olds barely dressed running around screaming, openly doing drugs, throwing up in the lifts, I have hardly led a sheltered existence but honestly it was like being trapped at an indoor full moon party.

The centre itself is a dive, like they got halfway through building it and gave up.
