What is the difference between a palindrome and a velodrome?

'Palindrome' are Michael Palin's nightclubs in Ibiza, Iceland, The Falkland Islands, Mongolia & the soon to be opened one on Ascension Island.
He's also thinking of opening a Pole Dancing Club in South Georgia & one in Greenland.
