Apart from dust bunnies, Christmas cards (yes it has been a long time since I vacuumed under the sofa) and playmobil items?

@FloralBonnet

OMG what happened???!!!!! 15 pages???!!!

It was a small, sprouting potato.

Fook me, what an anti-climax Grin
GreyhoundG1rl · 28/06/2021 17:12

Jesus, all that and it was a fucking potato? 🙄. No wonder nobody guessed. They all assumed it was something non mundane and interesting.

AbsolutelyPatsy · 28/06/2021 17:18

put it back and see how much it sprouts?

tiredanddangerous · 28/06/2021 17:22

Well that was disappointing. Try and lose something better under there next time op.

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 28/06/2021 17:23

MyOtherProfile · 28/06/2021 17:53

Perfect. Put it back, add some soil and you could have a good harvest in a few months.

iluvnettletea · 28/06/2021 17:54

CherryRipe1 · 28/06/2021 17:55

knittingaddict · 28/06/2021 17:57

@Litthefirealready

Peanuts - that’s what’s always under my sofa
It's alway Bombay mix under ours. That stuff gets everywhere.
Walkaround · 28/06/2021 17:57

@VerticalHorizon

This thread is proof positive that there is sod all to do on Sunday evenings!
True. It was an accidental shaggy dog story.
Bleachmycloths · 28/06/2021 18:02

Mega boring post and thread...

Harmonypuss · 28/06/2021 18:21

I reckon she left the washing outside on the washing line overnight and whilst it was being darked on and the spiders were rubbing their willies all over it, the cat was playing with the potato, got scared by the spider willies and legged it. Then the spiders decided to play footie with the potato, they took it indoors and used the settee as the goal posts.
The following night they went back outside to dark on other people's washing and forgot all about their game of footie.

Hence the potato under the settee.

ifonly4 · 28/06/2021 18:21

FloraBonnet do you have a cat? Mine will play with anything that rolls, dead or alive. I've found cracked eggs on the kitchen floor, and corks and kiwi in other parts of the ground floor, oh and a dead shrew under a lounge chair - I dread to think how long it'd been there.

KisstheTeapot14 · 28/06/2021 18:38

Ohh I thought it was going to be a real live fairy.

Or a government with a smidge of respectability and humility.

But no. A potato.

What happens now OP?

Plant it and hope for a bumper crop?

KisstheTeapot14 · 28/06/2021 18:39

@Harmonypuss did you have a hidden video camera?

I hear The Sun pays good money for this kind of thing.

OverByYer · 28/06/2021 18:42

Seriously? A potato? One of us needs to get a life abs that’s probably me.

Scautish · 28/06/2021 18:46

I love this thread. Sometimes we all just need little potato stories.

I wonder where the little potato will turn up next?

CheerfulBunny · 28/06/2021 18:47

17 pages???! Well played, OP, well played Grin

myleghurts · 28/06/2021 18:50

A single sock.................there must be a pile of them lurking somewhere.

grownuplefthome · 28/06/2021 18:58

Your lost iPad that you have since replaced but blamed it on the kids for losing it.

me4real · 28/06/2021 19:03
