Can Sean Bean act?

Honestly Ive just finished Time what an amazing piece of tv. I love him. My friend has put a downer on it saying he cant act and his accent is the same in everything. He can, cant he?

I think Sean's Yorkshire accent works well in the role. He was the only non Liverpudlian actor/technician on the set. It emphasised his feeling of not fitting in and his discomfort amongst the seasoned prisoners/ staff.

I think he's a very good actor - but he's not like those rare few that completely disappear into the roles so you don't know who they are.

I adore his voice. It's why I like him but anyone seen Black Death?! It haunted me!
