That photo really does look promising.

Fingers crossed.

Curious2021 · 12/06/2021 18:23

Fallen horses in the national get more privacy! Disgraceful.

MissLucyEyelesbarrow · 12/06/2021 18:24

Photo looks great in the circumstances - he is conscious and reacting. No reason why he can't make a full recovery, all being well.

Horizons83 · 12/06/2021 18:24

This is so horrible. I am a spurs fan and was at the game when Muamba collapsed. So shocking. I hope he has the same outcome.

WorraLiberty · 12/06/2021 18:24

@fashionablefennel

people complain about others gaping at victims of accidents, but are more than happy to gossip on threads like this. It's disgusting.
Can you quote one single post where anyone has 'gossiped'?

I'll wait...

Bitofachinwag · 12/06/2021 18:24

Danish news said that he fainted.

AbsolutelyPatsy · 12/06/2021 18:25

there is a photo of him being wheeled away conscious,
shocking and distressing

Polkadotties · 12/06/2021 18:25

On CPR courses they press about the importance of early help. This just highlights about how important it is for people to know how to do CPR and easy access to defibs

Muamba's just tweeted 'Please God', those two words, nothing else and I'm in bits.
AlexaShutUp · 12/06/2021 18:27

The latest updates sound promising. Let's hope he is OK.

YesIDoLoveCrisps · 12/06/2021 18:27

We aren’t gossiping Hmm I feel sorry for his wife because I am a wife and would be sad if it was my husband.
We are all just hoping he recovers and are feeling bad for his family.

And no-ones tv appears to have an off switch.

Eh? All I can see is concern. You've clicked on and then added to the thread so I don't see how you're any better Hmm

0None0 · 12/06/2021 18:29

I hope so. I’ve seen some shots of eyes open. That could be very very bad. But sitting up/ oxygen monitor, that sounds great!

You don’t give CPR to and defibrillate someone who’s fainted, surely!

Why?
freckles20 · 12/06/2021 18:30

Radio 5 have just said that they have confirmation that the player has been stabilised.

@Bitofachinwag

CPR isn't administered for a faint.

Contrary to what a lot of people think it's a brutal procedure if it's being done effectively. Think logically about the amount of pressure required to pump the heart through the rib cage.

Broken ribs are not uncommon.

For the medics to think this is necessary it's because he had no pulse.

I can't/won't speculate on why that happened but it was absolutely not just a faint.

DeRigueurMortis · 12/06/2021 18:31

Good news that he's in hospital and stable.

TheFairyCaravan · 12/06/2021 18:31

I’m complaining to OFCOM about the BBC coverage. I don’t think I’ve been so disgusted in all my life. He was getting CPR and they thought it was a good idea to zoom in on his wife. They’re utterly disgusting.
