Actors who play the same role in various programs

I wonder if they get bored playing the same character over and over again.

I mean two I can think of straight off my head is Melissa McCartney and Rebel Wilson

They always seem to play the fat, happy go lucky, funny girl.

If I was an actor I would love to play a mixture of characters. Personally I’d love to play a villain just so I could experience it

I haven't read the whole thread but with regard to Melissa McCarthy she is very different (and excellent) in St Vincent and Can You Ever Forgive Me?

Much as I love him, Harrison Ford is pretty much always a taciturn, cynical miserable git in most of his films.
