Yet another ‘conspiracy theory’ that isn’t a conspiracy.

It becomes even scarier when you look at the actual IFR of covid 19.

It can only be about population control because no other theory makes sense.

So we will be government toys for as long as they can stretch this one out. Then whatever the real agenda is will become apparent.

ISaySteadyOn · 13/07/2021 08:03

But how does that work even?

Discovered my library is open for browsing but only in booked slots. Death of spontaneity?

BogRollBOGOF · 13/07/2021 08:29

I'm feeling pretty bleak (not that this claustrophobic overcast humidity helps)

I really hope that businesses get some spontenaity back over the summer. While I like having some kind of structure, I also find doing all living by the clock suffocating. I don't want to pre-book a swim 3 days in advance and find the whole thing stressful and miserable because DS1 was in a grump and it's a battle of time and we spent 25 minutes of a 45 minute session in the changing rooms, effectively paying £1 minute for the swim. Hence why the DCs have not had a fun swim in over a year.

I loathe existing in a faceless world of discombobulated terrifired or angry eyes with no context.

I survived last winter feeling numb. I don't know if I can do it again. I'm generally functioning now, but I'm on a much, much lower reserve than this time last year.

I’m so bloody angry about this ongoing campaign of fear. DS tested positive on Friday and is self isolating at his dad’s house. Had DS on the phone last night in tears absolutely terrified that he’s passed it onto his friends and colleagues and some of them might die. No amount of trying to explain the statistics helped, he’s been completely brainwashed by the media hype.

Worldgonecrazy · 13/07/2021 09:06

@BogRollBOGOF. It’s not easy. It is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

We need to be ready and gird our loins for another 10 years of this shit.

Worldgonecrazy · 13/07/2021 09:14

Just read the latest updates on the government website. They are not even trying to hide their manipulation anymore.

Mark Harper
@MarkJHarper
The Commons will tomorrow be asked to vote on ‘draft Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021’

Sounds fairly innocuous, no?

These are actually the Regulations to bring in compulsory vaccination - not just for care staff

Having a moan. Covid is such a good excuse for shit service.

Walked past a pub today. Asked if we could sit outside. Told they weren't quite open but anyway only accepting pre booked tables so basically piss off but they could sell us overpriced take out bottles to drink elsewhere. Umm no and I will never come back which is a shame as when we passed it initially was thinking about staying as it also did accommodation.

MrsEWeatherwax · 13/07/2021 20:20

I agree with Denise Welsh, nobody has asked me my feelings on anything.

mightbealittlebitmad · 13/07/2021 20:21

Everywhere is so depressing with the absolute hysteria.

I'm so worried we are going to end up with everything closed again and I don't know if I can handle it. I'm trying not to think about it but there are reminders everywhere I go.

I can't shake the feeling that this isn't about a virus, I said that at the beginning and I'm still saying it now. Something just feels off.

I'm living life to the full again this summer and doing everything I can. I've been out for food, drinks, soft play, parties, coffee with friends, had friends and family over, I'm at the gym, getting my hair and nails done every month and trying to get in the zone to shift the lockdown weight.

Glad to see you are all still sane and haven't been converted to the lockdown loving darkside 👌

Taswama · 13/07/2021 21:02

That Denise clip was powerful. Really resonated with me.

Thanks for the music and crazy dancing too @IRanSoFarAway1 , joy is much needed!

Worldgonecrazy · 13/07/2021 21:10

Really saddened by the Parliament vote this evening. So we are told one on one hand that vaccinated people can still spread covid, and on the other care home workers, and everyone who attends care homes in a work capacity (kitchen fitters, plumbers, electricians) have to have mandatory vaccinations.

And after covid, will they make flu vaccinations compulsory? How about MenB abs MenC, TB etc?

And until when? When do these draconian roolz cease to be necessary?

Next Monday is not going to be Freedom Day, it will be back to more severe lockdown again.

And we remain completely impotent.

Someone on another thread said conspiracy theorists like to believe they are more intelligent than others. Well I am very sorry sheeple, but when you set the intelligence bar so low, it’s not very difficult to feel that way.

Ireland Compliance officers to check pub goers for Covid passports,

ISaySteadyOn · 13/07/2021 21:27

I don't think I am more intelligent than anyone else exactly. I got really good grades in school and I love reading mysteries and used to love dystopias. But reading enough of those gives you a nose for when something doesn't fit right.

Still, someone has been stickering scepticism where I am. That's hopeful.

Iheartmysmart · 13/07/2021 22:05

Sorry @IRanSoFarAway1 been out at the pub doing normal stuff! He didn’t have any symptoms, just took a test because he’d been pinged and it was positive. He still has no symptoms and has been in his dad’s garden helping him dig out a veg patch today. Ex husband has tested negative but still has to isolate until Tuesday!

Ouch.

Ireland's got through second vaccinations at a quicker rate than the UK, but are far further behind 1st doses.

Siblings in law (50s) have had their 2nd doses in the past month, around the same time as mine (40) but I had my first weeks ahead of them around Easter.

I want to be able to head over to see what I can of family. If MiL stays in her current location, only DH will be able to book to see her. There are the nephews/ nieces to see which would be good. But the prospecr of going to a country months further behind where we were does not feel like an escapist holiday.
If we get there..

My day got better. I tried to swerve time on MN and generally on my phone. My garden looks better for it!

Not happy with the state of the world, but I can't control it and sometimes you do need to put your head in the sand to keep going through another day.

Absofuckinglutely! Definitely having one of those days today.

Staying angry 24/7 is not good for the immune system.
