Wondering whats actually normal. I shower every 2-3 days in the evenings.

OP posts:
OverByYer · 03/05/2021 17:14

Every morning and also after I’ve exercised in the evening

MrsMiddleMother · 03/05/2021 17:14

Mostly every 2 days, every day in summer

Topseyt · 03/05/2021 17:16

I shower every morning before I get dressed. I literally can't remember the last time I didn't follow that routine. I would feel awful, and I'm pretty sure I would stink. I would certainly feel as though I did anyway.

Sparklingbrook · 03/05/2021 17:18

@Allthereindeersaregirls of course for me. But TBF if my DH/ teenagers only showered every 2-3 days i would be having a word.

Cherrycee · 03/05/2021 17:20

For skin health and hygiene it's actually perfectly fine for the majority of people.

Washing yourself once every three days is most certainly not fine, for anyone. It's especially inconsiderate to the people in close proximity at work, on public transport, etc.

LeaveMyDamnJam · 03/05/2021 17:21

Every morning and often in the evening, especially if I’m going out. I wouldn’t put clean clothes on a dirty body. I feel grimy if I don’t shower.

BillieSpain · 03/05/2021 17:21

Same as you OP, I have no central heating and it is cold and damp in winter.
I definitely don't smell. Clean clothes every day.

Hair looks great!

In summer it is very hot, so at least two quick showers every day. Just get hair wet to wash out chlorine from pool, try not to wash it too much.

Girlintheframe · 03/05/2021 17:21

Yes every night. I would feel very grubby otherwise. I very occasionally skip the evening one and have one in the morning if it's my day off but that's only if I'm very tired.

And inconsiderate to people who might like to have sex with you.
ImInStealthMode · 03/05/2021 17:23

Not every single day. If I've showered in the evening I might not the next day, but will in the morning of the following day. Obviously unless I've been to the gym / beach / otherwise exerted myself or got dirty.

Sarahlou63 · 03/05/2021 17:25

2/3 times a week - at 57 my skin is great Grin

Mammyofasuperbaby · 03/05/2021 17:27

No, if I did my skin dries and flakes of which is extremely painful and no amount of moisturiser helps so I wash every 2 /3 days

AppropriateAdult · 03/05/2021 17:29

Nope. 2-3 times per week, clean clothes every day. Am fully confident in my personal hygiene; like a PP I work in a role where any problems in this area would be pointed out very quickly.

Nicolastuffedone · 03/05/2021 17:31

Shower in the morning, bath at night every day

Tiredmum100 · 03/05/2021 17:34

Yes I shower and wash my hair every morning. And a quick shower when I get in from work. (Nurse).

MikeWozniaksGloriousTache · 03/05/2021 17:34

Odd days here and there I don’t shower or wash but I don’t leave the house. But I’ve not left the house today and showered as I felt like I needed it. Changed from pjs into more pjs like. I have a friend who only showers once a weekish and weirdly doesn’t smell at all, I don’t know how and her hair is beautiful. I stink after missing one day of showering.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 03/05/2021 17:35

No. I shower every 2-4 days usually.

DIshedUp · 03/05/2021 17:37

Yes. Occasionally I might not if I have to get up really early or I've showered right before bed, but on these days I feel a bit gross so its not something I would do regularly

I find actually a lot of people do smell, maybe not raging BO that fills a room but like a musky sour smell and I'd rather prevent that if I can

UnshakenNeedsStirring · 03/05/2021 17:38

Every day, in the summer, twice a day. Its not that difficult to have a shower, takes 5 mins or so

Allthereindeersaregirls · 03/05/2021 17:43

Has anyone said that difficulty is the reason they don't shower? I don't think they have. Though I suspect some disabilities make showering difficult.

Howyoudoingirl · 03/05/2021 17:44

On average every other day. Hair wash once a week

Slub · 03/05/2021 17:44

Yes I shower every morning although we have a tub too I much prefer a shower cos it's much quicker.
I'd feel like a right minger if I left it for 2/3 days Shock

Sparklingbrook · 03/05/2021 17:45

I don't think they have, so people have time but choose not to shower presumably.
Its90minutestonight · 03/05/2021 17:45

Every day, of course!

Sparklingbrook · 03/05/2021 17:46

Is any of this helping @LudoBear?
