Let me lead with the Waitrose pecorino and back dip. They've discontinued it and I have no idea why. I have been whingeing about it for two years now why would you discontinue such a popular product ?

I am just hoping the pork and iberico chorizo sausage rolls, also from waitrose, don't go the same way. It's been ages since I've seen them on the shelves.

Not only is it lockdown with nowt eke to think about but for, but I'm on a calorie controlled diet atm trying to get back in my dinner clothes before the weather warns up! All I can think about is eating.

What foods do you miss? Have they been discontinued? Can you only get them in a location you can't access? Are you trying to lose the lockdown lbs? Please make me feel better about being an obsessive foodie by joining me!

@Coniferhedge

At this time of year, Toffee & Mallow eggs. They were like Creme Eggs, but one half was filled with caramel, the other with marshmallow. I absolutely loved them but not seen them for years.

Came on to say toffee and mallow eggs like @Coniferhedge , so long since I had one and I loved them.

CarlottaValdez · 28/03/2021 09:15

There used to be a really nice pea dip in Waitrose I haven’t seen for ages. I loved in with fishfingers in a wrap.

moochingtothepub · 28/03/2021 09:15

Morrison's used to sell North African style mereguez sausages, now I have to mail order from a London butcher

Donatella · 28/03/2021 09:16

Most of mine are Easter egg related - Cadburys Darkmilk, the Cadburys ones that were nested like Russian dolls, Monty Bonjangles eggs. I'm really struggling to fine myself an Easter egg this year 😢

moochingtothepub · 28/03/2021 09:17

Oh those artificial cream donuts Sainsbury's sold, they weren't real cream, not seen them in 20 years

Tesco had frozen shallots, they were so useful and handy! But alas no more.

YukoandHiro · 28/03/2021 09:18

Teenage edition: McCain Pizza Rollers. You warmed them in the microwave and they took the roof of your mouth off but they were amazing

AdaFuckingShelby · 28/03/2021 09:18

Small quorn burgers. I miss them!

Buggerthebotox · 28/03/2021 09:19

Oh god yes, that Tesco mushroom paté. Loved that.

Liberté yoghurt. Suddenly disappeared off the shelves last year never to be seen again. It was my "go-to" dessert.

Vesta Paella in a box. I know you can get it still if you're really persistent but I haven't been able to get it in a shop for years.

Uncle Ted's Chicken and Mushroom Risotto (one of the rice pouches). Gone. Haven't seen it for yonks.

A crispbread called Vita Wheat. My mother was obsessed with them and I liked them too but I've never been able to find anything similar on the shelves.

Wiglio · 28/03/2021 09:19

Covent Garden Gazpacho was lovely, I know they do seasonal soups but I haven’t been able to find it during the last few summers

Eden Vale set chocolate yoghurt was delicious, not been available for decades

CloseEncountersOfTheTurdKind · 28/03/2021 09:20

Fizzy drinks without sweetners!
Old el Paso carne asada wrap kit
Galaxy truffles in celebrations

Kab30 · 28/03/2021 09:20

When I was at uni my flatmate would always make the Vesta beef risotto!

Waitrose do them
Sunbird24 · 28/03/2021 09:24

Kallo paprika rice cakes
Iced buns with lemon curd in the middle, came in a pack of 6

Vetyveriohohoh · 28/03/2021 09:27

@Camandmitch I came on to say that M&S pie too! They do something similar again but it has cheese in it now and I don’t like cheese

Strangekindofwoman · 28/03/2021 09:30

@AmandaHoldensLips

Nestlé tinned sterilised cream. Mmmmm.
You can still buy that in Tesco.
HerbErtlinger · 28/03/2021 09:30

Linda McCartney Peri Peri burgers. They were amazing. I Google them every now and then but they are no more

tiredoftiers · 28/03/2021 09:31

Not disappeared but recipe changes. Tesco finest sausages, used to be a family favourite now they’ve recipe changed and added bamboo fibre Confused and they are disgusting.
Why do shops change a product that’s been around for years and absolutely wreck it. It’s enough to make me do my online shop elsewhere.

FuckingFabulous · 28/03/2021 09:34

Fuse chocolate bars
Doritos 3D in a Texan flavour
Posh Noodle, some Chinese flavour. It had sesame oil to drizzle in. Was genuinely delightful

VienneseWhirligig · 28/03/2021 09:34

Danepak Bacon Grills - lovely processed bacon and a layer of cheese in breadcrumbs. Mmm. Perfect for a sandwich.

Sun Valley Turkey burgers - similar to bacon grills but turkey instead of bacon.

Mignons morceaux

Tesco used to do a tomato and ham pasta pot years ago in the dip/coleslaw section which was really tasty but they stopped

Djchickpea · 28/03/2021 09:35

Whole Earth 3 nut butter. Peanut, Casew and Hazlenut edition. I sulked for ages when that was discontinued. On the plus side it drove me to make my own at home but I still haven't quite mastered the correct ratios of different nut types.

TheMethodicalMeerkat · 28/03/2021 09:36

The Collective Russian fudge yogurt. It still exists for people in the UK but I haven’t found it in Ireland for @ 2 years ☹️. It’s amazing so if you can get it in your supermarket, eat one for me Wink.

M&S asparagus lasagne. It was delicious and I’ve tried making my own but it’s just not the same.

Cadbury’s Top Deck. Why did they take it away from us?? Best chocolate bar ever.

daisyjgrey · 28/03/2021 09:36

Worcester sauce used to do a Worcester & tomato sauce and it exquisite. It's been discontinued for years, despite there being actual online forums of people looking for it.
