Food you love but can't get any more

Let me lead with the Waitrose pecorino and back dip. They've discontinued it and I have no idea why. I have been whingeing about it for two years now why would you discontinue such a popular product ?

I am just hoping the pork and iberico chorizo sausage rolls, also from waitrose, don't go the same way. It's been ages since I've seen them on the shelves.

Not only is it lockdown with nowt eke to think about but for, but I'm on a calorie controlled diet atm trying to get back in my dinner clothes before the weather warns up! All I can think about is eating.

What foods do you miss? Have they been discontinued? Can you only get them in a location you can't access? Are you trying to lose the lockdown lbs? Please make me feel better about being an obsessive foodie by joining me!

There were white chocolate flakes at one point. No chocolate coating. This would have been before Snowflakes, probably late 80s. Not sure if was Cadbury though, might have been another name. I remember boxes of them being available at Xmas. Then they disappeared.

I got all excited when Snowflakes were announced thinking the pure white flakes were back, And then being a touch disappointed about the chocolate outer.

And then there was Anthea Turner’s wedding spread in Hello sponsored by Snowflake...

I was born in 87 so unlikely to remember the pure white choc ones if they were in the 80’s. I think I must be misremembering but god I wish I could have one!

Dr Oetker Onken mousses. In peach (or apricot perhaps?) and strawberry. They had a layer of cream on the bottom - dreamy.

I only remember the snowflake milk chocolate coating white chocolate inside. Very sweet but very nice

@IHaveBrilloHair the Lidl near me had vol-au-vents in yesterday!

I also miss Birds Eye Inspirations sweet chilli prawns, used to stir fry them with baby corn, mini courgettes and rice for the last couple of minutes cooking. My favourite easy tea.

Why did McDonald’s discontinue caramel sundaes??? They were the best ice creams & a McFlurry will just not cut it 😭😭😭
