How long into your relationship did you get engaged?

Just that really! Interested to see when people decided to put a ring on it. I know no two relationships are the same but I am intrigued having a baby and coming up to our second year anniversary makes the question play in my mind more so as to when things like this follow?

A year in and we had a 3 month old baby at that point.

Got together in 1997
Engaged in 2002
Married in 2003
DC born in 2005, 2007, 2009.

And married 3 years after that. Our date kept being cancelled because of covid but have now been married the past few months.

Got together November 2015, engaged July 2018, married June 2019. Expecting our first baby any day now.

5 years, wedding 2023.

I have a dd from a previously relationship (12). Our first child together is due June.

2.5 years, we were mid 20s to early 30s at the time and I think that was probably quite quick (we were married just before our 3rd anniversary). But we were very sure about our future and I had immigration issues to deal with so sped up the process of me being able to move to the UK. I absolutely would get married before having children though. Marriage is a very minor commitment compared to a baby.

Together 3 months before we got engaged and we married exactly 12 months and 2 days from the day we met.

Been together 10 years this year

From our first Tinder date to engaged - 3 months. Married 6 months later, bought a house after that...then got a couple of doggos... married three years, couldn't be happier.

When you know, you know

After 3 dates but we first met about 17 years earlier. Our siblings are married to each other. Been married 25 years in September.

4 years. We met at uni so were young.

Engaged at 23 married at 25. (That was over 12 years ago now. Still wonderfully happy.)

Engaged 6 months after meeting, married 18 months later and have now been married for 24years

Got engaged after 2 years. Married after 3.5 years (ceremony abroad hence long engagement).

One year one month, married three years, together 5 and have a new baby

Met in July 2011 and engaged February 2014. Then married in June 2015.

We moved in together pretty quick though - less than a year of dating

I've just RTFT - I don't mean we were engaged for 3.5 years, it was just 18m, which I thought was a long time but am clearly out of touch!

Engaged 6 months into our relationship, married 18 months later. Our son came along 6 years into our marriage. We've been very happily married 22 years this year and I wouldn't change a thing.

6 months, her mum found a suitable boy, I didn’t have much time to make my move.

Engaged 17 months after meeting and married 7 months later. Now been married 27 years.

14 years, post kid. We only did it to be tidy for financials. Eloped as well. Was fun.

Engaged within six months. Then married two years after that. Been together 18 years total.

Married Dec 94.

We didn't live together before we got married and we're only 24 at the time. Just passed our 26th anniversary.
