I had the AZ jab a couple of days ago - feel like I've got the worst hangover. Ever. Very tired. Sore arm.

Someone I know had tge Pfizer jab and had no side effects at all.

Well that's reassuring, Thankyou

Terrible aching bones all over 24 hours after second PFizer. My neck and back are particularly awful. Sad

TheGriffle · 05/03/2021 20:40

I had my AZ yesterday at half 10. By half 6 I was freezing cold down into my bones, like they were made of ice despite my body being very very well wrapped up and my skin being boiling hot. I was shivering uncontrollably for about an hour then managed to get that under control.

Last night I barely slept. Arm is killing (and it’s the arm I sleep on!) so it hurt and disturbed me if I lay on it but then sleeping in other positions made my neck and back ache so much.

Horrible nausea and headache today and I’ve barely eaten more than a few mouthfuls despite feeling starving, nothing is appealing, feel too sick when I start eating. I’ve spent most of the day on the sofa.

I’m O+, no covid before as far as I’m aware but am ‘fairly’ young at 34 and I read on here the younger you are the harder you’re hit.

AZ yesterday 9.15, sore arm initially but by late afternoon felt freezing cold and started shivering badly. Took paracetamol and went to bed at 8.30, waking to take more paracetamol every four hours till morning. Managed to get to work, took two more paracetamol at break time, none since. Feeling tired but better, arm still sore.

HalfBloodPrince · 05/03/2021 20:54

Had the AZ. Felt a bit under the weather for a day and a sore arm for 48 hours and then completely fine Smile

Alakazam8 · 05/03/2021 20:54

I had the Az and had the same uncontrollable shivering as many, headache, temp and nausea/vomiting..all went after a couple of days- the unusual one for me is I’ve still got a bruise at the site of injection 10 days later!

HemlockStarglimmer · 05/03/2021 21:00

My husband and I had the Pfizer one on Tuesday, before 9am. I fell asleep on the sofa in the afternoon. Both our arms were sore for about 48 hours. Both fine now.

Animum2 · 05/03/2021 21:01

I had my jab in Friday and had sore arm for a few days, it also went lumpy and rashy but has now cleared, also had fuzzy migrane type headache along with hot and cold shivers and nausea, but by the end of Sunday I was fine apart from the arm

Animum2 · 05/03/2021 21:02

Mine was astrazenica

The main side effect seems to be starting 100s of threads on MN about side effects.

sausagerollcake · 05/03/2021 21:05

Pfizer here, sore arm the next day and possibly a headache but that could be due to the alcohol the night before 😁

Pericombobulations · 05/03/2021 21:12

I'm about 30 hours post AZ. So far just slightly achey arms and feeling tired. But both are reasonably normal for me so could be normality.

Spent most of yesterday quite tense waiting for side effects as I am side effect adverse so might also be the cause.

InsufferablePerformanceFather · 05/03/2021 21:21

I had the AZ vaccine last Monday. Started feeling feverish on the Tuesday afternoon but paracetamol sorted it. By the evening I had serious chills. I suspect a couple more paracetamol would have sorted that but I curled up on the sofa under a couple of blankets instead. Felt loads better the next morning although have had a background headache since (which is easily knocked out by paracetamol and may just been too much sugar anyway!)

Babamamananarama · 06/03/2021 03:09

I had Astra Zeneca jab a week after my first round of chemo for lymphoma.
No reaction whatsoever.
Blood group O.

Jowak1 · 06/03/2021 03:14

I had the Astra Zeneca one yesterday at 2.30pm. At approximately 9.30pm I started to get a headache, went really cold and so took a paracetamol and went to bed. Woke up at 1pm sweating cobs and headache returning so took another paracetamol, am absolutely boiling and can't sleep 😴 Hence I'm on Mumsnet

Jowak1 · 06/03/2021 03:18

Sorry 1am this morning

Disneymum1993 · 06/03/2021 04:29

I had mine today at 3pm by 1am I started shaking really badly ,been sick and temperature sky high . Feel really tired but can shut my eyes as a migraine is coming 😭 thought I had escaped any side effects as felt fine earlier. My dd birthday tea today so need to soldier on x

Themusicis0utside · 06/03/2021 07:15

Pfizer here.
Jab 1: Felt like someone had whacked my arm with a baseball bat, couldn't move it for a couple of days without feeling 7/10 pain. General tiredness. Only lasted 48 hours.

Jab 2: Swollen and painful lymph nodes under armpit, and neck. Soreness at the side of the injection, even three days on. The armpit pain radiates down to the elbow. Generally feeling well.

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 06/03/2021 07:16

Had the Pfizer , no side effects aside from a very slightly dead arm for a few hours .

BigPaperBag · 06/03/2021 07:45

Had the Pfizer. My arm was so achy the night I had it, I seriously felt like I’d done a dead lift or something 😂 Had to take some paracetamol and ibuprofen to dull the ache. No other side effects and by the next day I was fine. I’m 37.

iMatter · 06/03/2021 08:05

I had AZ yesterday at 9

Woke up in the night with a sore arm and I've now got a banging headache

Blood group A+

wonkylegs · 06/03/2021 08:16

I had AZ one on weds a bit tired that day but otherwise until the next morning when I woke up with severe chills and a headache, couldn't get warm all day, but woke up yesterday and was fine again.
I am immunosuppressed due to a chronic health condition and was expecting some response from my screwy immune system.
DH had P one in Dec - had a really sore are for 36hrs but was then fine.

PursuingProxemicExactitude · 06/03/2021 08:48

I had AZ before 9.30 am yesterday. By late afternoon I had the can't get warm thing; rather shivery all evening with accompanying headache. And aching around injection point, shoulder, underarm.

This morning my breakfast bowl felt heavy and I can't really face grinding coffee beans by hand. Very little energy and thankful I won't have to do anything strenuous or complicated today. But it's all quite mild so far.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 06/03/2021 09:35

Had my first AZ one yesterday. Felt fine, went to work that evening.

Woke up at 4am with a skull-splitting headache. It seems to be wearing off now though. The injection site is a tiny bit bruised, but that's not a shock.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. Unlike my hepatitis B inoculation, THAT was a bastard and a half 😅
