I had the AZ jab a couple of days ago - feel like I've got the worst hangover. Ever. Very tired. Sore arm.

Someone I know had tge Pfizer jab and had no side effects at all.

@wallyrag my raised lymph node was on the right hand side as well, about the size of a large pea for about 3 days with a bit of a sore throat. Just took paracetamol. I'd rather suffer with what I perceive as a slight side effect than myself or others get Covid if I can help it. Any meds have can have side effects & I ended up in an ambulance at 15 when my GP gave me a different antihistamine but on a balance of probabilities I still figure its worth the risk.

Had AstraZeneca. straight after felt fine but later that night woke with a head ache, the next morning felt really fluey / achey, no energy.

12 hours later back to normal, just took paracetamol and ibuprofen.

Littleroundsponge · 24/02/2021 21:48

I had Pfizer around 11 this morning.

My arm feels very sore and really heavy when I lift it, no other symptoms up to now!

@NewjobOldme

I've had both doses of Pfizer. After the first dose my arm was sore for about 24 hours and I was a little tired but fine within 24 hours. After second dose I woke up feeling dreadful. Muscle aches, exhausted, nauseated. Lasted less than 48 hours.
Yes me too. Had the second dose yesterday. Woke up felt sick with a temp, felt rubbish as the days gone on. Still got a temp, aching all over, back ache, stomach upset and headache. I'm in bed now boiling.
stclair · 24/02/2021 22:00

Had the first Pfizer beginning of January, no problems except for sore arm. Had second dose 2 weeks ago, had headache and tiredness 2 days.

Notusingthisnameagain · 24/02/2021 22:06

Had AZ. As I'd read the other thread I planned to be ill and had loads of water and regular painkillers. Whether the pain relief stopped me feeling rough or I just got off lightly the worst I've had is being a bit stiff/achy, but I do have this frequently anyway due to other reasons and I'd just done a shift on my feet for the first time in a year!

RoseMartha · 24/02/2021 22:18

Had the AZ this week.
Within 10 hours had the shivering and chills could not get warm even in bed with a hot water bottle. Had pain in injection arm. Had horrible weird pain in shoulders and back. Slight nausea.

Took paracetamol. Felt better after about an hour but the next day had a horrendous sinus type headache across my face and sides of my head. And arm felt it was attached to a ton weight. Which were manageable with pain meds but didnt alleviate pain altogether.

I managed to wfh but took more breaks as I had a couple of hours owing me.

Today head/face ache has died down through the day. Still having trouble raising my arm though

MistakenAgain · 24/02/2021 22:38

I had AZ, vv tired and brainfoggy, lasted 8 days but fine now.

MistakenAgain · 24/02/2021 22:39

Taking paracetomol in anticipation is a good shout.

Internetwanderer · 24/02/2021 22:42

Had AZ along with DS on Monday pm. Both fine till around 11pm by which time I had back/shoulder ache and was tired with the start of a headache. Stomach ache overnight. Yesterday, major headache, fell asleep in the chair in the afternoon. Achey/flu-ey. Today headache is easing but I have no energy and feel like I'm getting over having had flu. Have used paracetamol.
DS had started with hot/cold shivers on Monday night. Up in the night, sick and headache Tuesday morning. He is ok today. We both have sore arms.
My parents had their AZ jabs a few weeks ago and only got sore arms.
Hoping that we will react less with the second jab, as I was pretty useless yesterday.

Internetwanderer · 24/02/2021 22:44

Ps... I also had nausea yesterday but wasnt physically sick.

Will make sure not to plan anything for the day after our second jabs, just in case!

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 24/02/2021 23:04

AZ today, did start itching all over shortly after it but now I have no side effects at all

KeanuBmine · 24/02/2021 23:04

I had the AZ on Sunday and 5 mins after my arm went numb for about 10 mins. Other than that tiredness i felt fine. Arm was achy but on the Monday when i went to work as the day went on I felt awful. I started with the shivers and could not get warm...went home and slept. I was quite breathless and felt horrific I spent the next day in bed. No energy and a very heavy arm. I bruise with jabs and this was the same but 4 days in and my arm is in agony. Its swollen and i cant even touch it. I am diabetic and i had covid back in Sept. The worse i have ever felt...the vaccine felt like this also. The thought of the 2nd vaccine is pretty terrifying!

RedTitsMcGinty · 24/02/2021 23:09

Pfizer. No side effects.

CrepuscularCritter · 25/02/2021 09:26

AZ on Sunday. Small amount of pain at injection site for the first couple of days, and a mild headache on Monday. I've been really tired all week, but that could simply be about work, not the vaccine. Very glad to have had my first jab.

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 25/02/2021 09:48

Had no side effects yesterday. This morning however my arm is throbbing and swollen, my legs are aching my head is banging and I have a temperature. My chest also feels a bit tight as though I'm getting a chest infection or something

AcornAutumn · 25/02/2021 10:18

AZ on Monday morning c10am

Felt unwell by lunchtime.

Low blood pressure high by 4pm, pulse rate high. Still are.

In bed with, um, a virus, Tuesday and Wednesday.

My arm has only just started now aching. I am working from home today.

Should I report the high BP? I am exhausted by it but that's obviously the cause. It creates a headache etc and I can't sleep with blood pounding in ears.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 25/02/2021 11:24

Had Pfizer 24 hours ago.. sore arm and feeling cold yesterday Feel woozy this morning and upper arm is tender
So grateful to have had it, and it was run really efficiently

HeyDemonsItsYaGirl · 25/02/2021 11:57

I had the Pfizer yesterday. My arm is a little sore when I raise it, but no other effects.

ArchwayRoad · 25/02/2021 12:06

Just had the AZ at 10am today so I've been reading this thread with interest. I hope the poster who said o neg blood types get less of a reaction is right!

Siddalee · 25/02/2021 12:21

AZ on Tuesday- no side effects.

Husband who is CEV had his AZ three weeks ago- no side effects

80+ year old parent has the AZ over a month ago- no side effects

Anniissa · 25/02/2021 12:27

Dad had the AZ with no side effects. My mother had the Pfizer and had very sore arm then 24 hours later felt very ill with headache and nausea and then developed very upset stomach which lasted about a day then she felt ok.

ConquestEmpireHungerPlague · 25/02/2021 14:05

I had Pfizer with no side effects. My sister (who has the same blood group as me obviously) had it some months ago (HCP) and was horrendously unwell - rash all over her body and appalling headache that lasted two weeks. imo it's nothing to do with your blood group and everything to do with whether the vaccine is your first exposure to the virus. I've been practically shielding, she's been very gung ho about being out and about and also, as an HCP, is likely to have had occupational exposure. I imagine the second jab will be worse for those of us who had no problems after the first.

Missmonkeypenny · 25/02/2021 14:19

I had the Pfizer, nothing but a swollen lymphnode one week later just above my collarbone

Goodmorninglights · 25/02/2021 14:29

Had the Pfizer yesterday, no side effects apart from feeling a little giddy with joy!
