I had the AZ jab a couple of days ago - feel like I've got the worst hangover. Ever. Very tired. Sore arm.

Someone I know had tge Pfizer jab and had no side effects at all.

I had AZ about 5 weeks ago. Around 7 hours later started to feel really ill. Hideous headache, chills, shaking(rigours?) absolutely could not get warm though had 5 blankets on. 2 days off work. But I am CV and although they say second jab can be worse I will have no qualms about having it as I know it's nothing compared to getting covid. Apparently it's a worse reaction in people who've had covid. I think I might have had it last march.

sparkle789 · 21/02/2021 23:18

I had the AZ vaccination. 24 hours of feeling exhausted dizzy weak and just generally crap. The next 24 just a bit achy and then I was fine.

Bells3032 · 21/02/2021 23:19

Dh both had pfizer. Both had sore arms for about 48 hours. That's about it

AZ 2 weeks ago - I was unlucky and had all the side affects, after a couple of hours nausea, stomach cramps, headaches, the chills, fatigue, stayed in bed for about 30 hours. Colleagues of mine have had some symptoms but not like mine. Strangely my taste buds have changed. My morning coffee is no longer appealing as it once was! This is my third week feel a lot better.

BlowDryRat · 21/02/2021 23:20

AZ - first jab gave me a sore, warm patch around the vaccination site for a few days. I get the same thing when I have the flu jab every year. I had my second jab on Friday and have had no noticeable effects, to the point that I'm half wondering whether the nurse really gave it to me!

lolbrador · 21/02/2021 23:23

Pfizer last week. I have a chronic health condition and was slightly worried about injection causing a flare, however the only side effect I had was really sore armpits. My glands were swollen for a good few days in my neck but not painful but my armpits were sore. Fine now and thrilled to have had my first dose

Suzi888 · 21/02/2021 23:23

DM 79 underlying health conditions., Pfizer no side effects, apart from sore arm.

catpoooffender · 21/02/2021 23:26

Had the AZ jab last Tuesday. Felt very slightly lightheaded that day, and a bit tired the next day. After around 48 hours have developed a huge tender red circle on my arm around a lump where the jab went in, but only slightly worse than the reaction I get from the flu jab every year. Otherwise feel fine so far.

thatonesmine · 21/02/2021 23:29

Pfizer last week. I had an odd metallic taste in my mouth for a couple of hours and the next day felt quite sluggish and had some tenderness around the injection site. Nothing much really and was absolutely fine within 48 hours.

Misunderstoodagain · 21/02/2021 23:33

Had 1st dose of Pfizer and I was very tired for 2 days and sore up but that was it.
2nd dose last Friday and it wiped me out for the whole weekend, very very tired, dizzy and headaches mainly.

CockapooMum · 21/02/2021 23:41

I had the AZ jab Saturday at 5.30pm. Wasn't doing too bad initially but woke this morning with sore arm as if I've been punched and also really shivery. Had a temp of around 38 all day and feel like I've got worse as the days gone on. Really tired and lethargic. Praying I wake up feeling human tomorrow. Haven't had COVID to my knowledge and although I'm feeling rough I'd rather 48 hours of this then the real thing

notapizzaeater · 21/02/2021 23:54

Pfizer in Tuesday, sore arm for a couple of days but utter exhaustion in the afternoon all week.

Steamfan · 21/02/2021 23:58

Had the Pifzer Thursday morning. Arm was a bit stiff in the afternoon, but nothing else.

Fromthegekko · 22/02/2021 00:05

First Pfizer 10 days ago. Bit of a sore arm for a few days but only when I lifted my arm up high. Nothing else. I generally have more far more side effects after the annual flu jab.

Concertedaction · 22/02/2021 00:39

My DM (80’s) had Pfizer - sore arm but nothing more.
DH and I (60’s) had AZ - both had sore arm, shivers and tiredness. Fine by the following day though.
A few people have told me that following the AZ they had really bad hangover symptoms.

PawPawNoodle · 22/02/2021 00:42

I had the AZ on Saturday, no side effects that I've noticed apart from being sort of conscious of my arm, if that makes sense. There's a bit of redness at the site but nothing terrible

EatsFartsAndLeaves · 22/02/2021 02:00

I had the Pfizer a few days ago. Sore arm until today, not bad enough to stop me doing anything. It's fine now and no other effects at all.

Billandben444 · 22/02/2021 07:31

Had AZ 3 days ago. Banging headache all the next day and, for some reason, a very red face. Yesterday all gone apart from slightly sore stab site.

Nonamesavail · 22/02/2021 07:34

Pfizer last month. No side effects

Londonnight · 22/02/2021 07:35

AZ a week ago. No side effects at all

Frollocks · 22/02/2021 07:44

AZ 3 weeks ago, no side effects at all.

Psychobobble · 22/02/2021 07:53

Pfizer last week. Minor heaviness in that arm for 48 hours. Half awake in the night second night feeling slightly nauseous but fine by morning.

Milomonster · 22/02/2021 08:08

I had Pfizer on Friday. Zero side effects apart from injection site feeling a little bruised for a day. I haven’t had Covid in the past - seems those who have had it seem to be reacting more (particularly with AZ).

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 22/02/2021 08:10

Had the AZ around 9.30 am. Around 12 hours later had very flu-ey shivers and shakes, but fine by morning. No sore arm.

Dh had the AZ with no reaction at all.

I was rather reassured by my reaction - it meant that something was happening.

badlydrawnbear · 22/02/2021 10:08

I had Pfizer. My arm hurt for a few days. I had a headache a day or 2 later, which may have been a side effect or may have been exhaustion or not having drunk very much or just a headache. I was still able to work with it. A colleague was saying recently that she felt absolutely exhausted after hers and had spent the day in bed, I half-jokingly said I am permanently exhausted so probably wouldn't have recognised that as a side effect. I have also heard that the side effects from Pfizer tend to be worse after the second dose.
