3 Brazil nuts.

BarelyFunctioning · 31/01/2021 21:18

@LynnShelley @VerbenaGirl do you mind sharing what brand of Turmeric you take?

BettyOBarley · 31/01/2021 21:21

Iron tablets and Vitamin D have really improved my mood, but I was extremely low in both.

BarelyFunctioning · 31/01/2021 21:23

@BrigitsBigKnickers would you mind sharing what turmeric you're taking and what magnesium taurate you're taking too?

I have creaky joints as well as palpitations. I've had two ECGs for the latter and my doc also said I just had to 'deal'.

The joint issue I've had for a few years, but the palpitations are a post-Covid gift and the joint pain also worse since having it Hmm

If I could quieten the palpitations down with magnesium, I'd be delighted.

Kombucha !!

I have a huge jar with a tap and give away a lot as it often gets out of hand. I like green tea.

Martinisarebetterdirty · 31/01/2021 21:24

Magnesium glycinate for sleep and leg cramps.
Liquid collagen - I can feel the difference on my upper arms if I don’t take it.

Eruss · 31/01/2021 21:25

What is the difference between all the different magnesium’s?

Also can anyone recommend a reasonably priced veggie collagen? Is that a thing?

nopuppiesallowed · 31/01/2021 21:50

Barelyfunctioning
I started using Holland and Barrett Turmeric and black pepper but now I've just started on some from Simply Supplements which is stronger.

AmongUs · 31/01/2021 21:52

High strength omega 3 fish oil every other day. If I stop my skin becomes itchy and my eczema comes back.

Started on collagen sachet every other day too but haven't decided if I will keep this up.

Some are better absorbed and easier on the stomach. The best 2 IMO are glycinate and citrate. I used to take citrate but have found glycinate powder more effective. It puts me into a really relaxed state and I sleep better on it.

I make my own golden paste and it’s very effective.

@glowingtwig

Following with interest! Feel so sluggish and weird at the moment Sad

Same. My body feels older than it is at the moment.

userxx · 31/01/2021 22:54

@Monkeytennis97

Just ordered some magnesium

Which one and where from ?

TiddlesUpATree · 31/01/2021 22:59

Iron. Spatone apple sachets. Makes a huge difference to how I feel. Just need to remember to take them.

nordica · 31/01/2021 23:01

Started taking Spatone iron every morning recently and I'm really feeling the difference- no longer constantly exhausted and feel like my mood has lifted too. Could be a coincidence of course but tbh as a vegetarian I probably was deficient.

I also take Vit D and B12.

36degrees · 31/01/2021 23:04

Spatone apple for me too. Makes an enormous difference to my energy levels and seems to act a lot faster and more noticeably than tablets.

LadyJaye · 31/01/2021 23:09

Vitamin B12 - specifically the BetterYou Boost B12.

I started taking it because I'm vegetarian, but it makes me feel AMAZING, even if I compare it to when I was an omni.

I call it my 'brave spray': I'm not an anxious person or a worrier per se, but I really notice the difference if I've missed it out for a few days.

Could be psychosomatic, but hey, the placebo effect is a thing and if it works it works, right?

HironsBirons · 31/01/2021 23:20

Inositol, magnesium and high strength vitamin c. I’m a nanny and since I started the vit c I’ve not had every cough/cold/ailment going that the children bring home from school

BrigitsBigKnickers · 31/01/2021 23:39

The magnesium Taurate is the
cardiovascular researchh* brand- shop around as it varies in price.
The Turmeric is this one from Amazon.

BarelyFunctioning · 31/01/2021 23:47

Brilliant thank you @BrigitsBigKnickers and @LynnShelley

colouringindoors · 01/02/2021 00:04

Solgar Female Multiple - top quality mix of vitamins and minerals. You have to take more than one a day, and they're not cheap, but definitely help.

D3 recently has definitely improved my mood (took 2,000iu for a month)

Dowser · 01/02/2021 00:06

Every day
We take
Vit c..I don’t take too high a dosage as we have plenty of blueberries, and veg
Vit b multi spectrum
Regular garlic.
Zinc ascorbate
Vit d3 with k2
Electrolytes
Colloidal silver
Fermented veg like sauerkraut
Nascent iodine with ironic selenium
I do take other things as and when ..but this is every day
Also
Keep hydrated..especially elderly. Major cause of organ failure.no smoking
Moderate alcohol
Keep a good weight
Moderate exercise.

We do this every day..without fail.we are both 100 per cent gluten and dairy free.
As you age you become quite inefficient at making digestive enzymes to digest lactose and gluten. Inflammation can build up in the body and can cause problems in the sinuses, digestive tract can lead to constipation or diahorrea.
It’s tough but has got easier has time has gone.

Neither of us has had a cold in over 18 months
I can’t remember my last one.

Dowser · 01/02/2021 00:07

Oh gosh forgot about turmeric and black pepper..every day,

Dowser · 01/02/2021 00:11

@Pancakeorcrepe

To get me through Winter, I take: 5HTP St Johns Worth Vitamin D and K3 for absorption Zinc, Magnesium and Vitamin B Hair vitamins (do a course twice a year)

It’s a lot but it does help me

Should be d3 and k2

I also have just started with co q10 every day for memory also helps with heart health.
I have such a big vits and mins, herbs and supplements cupboard I often forget what’s there.
I do take them and often if an article suggests something 9/10 I have it.
