On a day off and bored. If I were to make a dream shoppong list, what things would you recommend? What have you bought that makes your life better? What have you thought would make your life better but didn't? I'll start...

I can recommend my kitchen tap with the extendable end, hair oil and phd half size protein bars.

I wouldn't recommend olaplex and babyliss big hair (although I have a head full of mental curls so might be more to do with my hair type!)

I have a very old typewriter. I quite like banging my thoughts out on it. It's very cathartic. Not sure what the next door neighbour thinks though...

Sheepskin slippers

My first pair last 35 years, my dd gave me a new pair about 7 xmas ago, they are wonderful

Milk frother www.johnlewis.com/lavazza-milkup-milk-frother-0-18l-black/p3311404

I have a lavazza like this & can have a latte in bed each day, it’s used most days - so worth the money

@glas14368

Ninja foodi is the best, I now have my eye on the ninja grill too it's so good.

Watching with interest so I google this little lot tomorrow when I am "working". It's going to be like the generation game conveyor belt of exciting things. Thanks everyone.

This is exactly what I’m doing today “whilst working” Grin

My cleaner!!!
My dog

Acinonyx2 · 13/01/2021 07:23

Electric blanket.
Nice bath oils.
Amazon (plus music)/Netflix/Disney - upstairs big movie screen and firestick for downstairs.
Alexa and blue tooth speaker.
Fancy teas for weekend morning tea pot treat.
Really good weatherproofs for walking.
Gardening & indoor plants and flowers.
My home office and sacred private sanctuary.

I'm now trying to talk dh into a robot vacuum - I really want one! Also would love the flower subscription as home deliveries are useless for flowers - but a bit pricey just now. Definitely after an essential oil diffuser.

Twilightstarbright · 13/01/2021 07:24

Echo a lot of these- eufy robovac, decent coffee, aeropress to make nice coffee just for me, UGG slippers, sweaty Betty leggings.

I buy Egyptian cotton bedding from tk maxx.

Also a big fan of the air fryer, I do batches of roast veg which then get added to everything.

Heated blanket.

Oh dear I feel like I have betrayed some household appliances by not naming them! Guilty shout out to the dishwasher and tumble drier which I clearly take for granted! Also can’t believe I forgot smol and Amazon prime. Plus the love of my life... the quooker 😍😍😍

goingtotown · 13/01/2021 09:41

Bona spray wood floor mop.

Badoukas · 13/01/2021 09:52

Memory foam mattress topper.

CoronaCurls · 13/01/2021 10:47

Someone asked about cashmere poncho - I got my mum a lovely one from Next for Christmas she really likes it (I tried it on before I wrapped it and nearly didn't take it off 😅)

Lookingoutside · 13/01/2021 11:22

Also. Lavender sleep spray. The ones by This Works or Ren are amazing. Don’t use too much or you’ll struggle to wake up.

notacooldad · 13/01/2021 11:37

I wouldn't recommend olaplex
I read the title and came on to recommend olaplex 3!!

Lookingoutside · 13/01/2021 12:07

Some have a great experience with Olpalex and absolutely swear by it. I couldn’t do anything with my hair after I used it. It was stringy and wouldn’t style.

Worth trying once I would say, in case you’re one of the lucky ones.

BringPizza · 13/01/2021 12:09

Exercise equipment for cold rainy mornings, my dog, spotify, nice blankets, hastens bed.

NattyDiamondDoll · 13/01/2021 12:12

Amazon Echo.. Fabulous as I listen to news and radio and music whilst I WFH. I've just ordered the Echo Auto for my car.
Spotify.
Wireless headphones I have some great Anker Soundcore ones from Amazon no need to spend $$.
Kindle

peaceanddove · 13/01/2021 12:20

A regular delivery from Cook of their fantastic frozen meals, for days when you can't be arsed to cook. Their large meals feed a family of four and are between £17-£20. Considering they taste deliciously homemade with quality ingredients they're a bargain Smile

NattyDiamondDoll · 13/01/2021 12:24

@spiderlight how could I forget my dogs!! I have a two year old Cavapoo and one year old cockapoo and they are my world 😊😊

Wifi signal boosters around the house

Aircon unit in our home office for summertime

Fresh herbs growing in the garden

A bird feeder on my window as I love watching the small birds feed

Smiledwiththerisingsun · 13/01/2021 13:27

Question to those with a robovac ... do they do well with picking up loads of dry mud???

peak2021 · 13/01/2021 14:36

During lockdown, a BFI film subscription has been wonderful.

Could you please tell me more about the wifi boosters?
SoupnSalads · 13/01/2021 16:45

Epsom salts soap bars and woven soap bags- gentle exfoliation and do not go mouldy, last forever.

Vionics shoes or just orthotic insoles generally, love the arch support.

I bought a robovac at Christmas, on Ebay half price. Yet to open it.

SoupnSalads · 13/01/2021 16:46

Tesco Delivery Saver.

EvelynSalt · 13/01/2021 16:48

Great thread!

My Halo handheld vac has been a game changer after shuffling about with an ancient Dyson for years. Slightly obsessed with it and can frequently be found hoovering corners between work calls.

Also, for anyone eating keto or watching carbs, or just loves cheese, Cheesies have been a revelation. Like crisps but just made of baked cheese. Addictive though!

Vigorothello · 13/01/2021 17:40

Aircon! Yes! Omg it saved us all, last summer.
