On a day off and bored. If I were to make a dream shoppong list, what things would you recommend? What have you bought that makes your life better? What have you thought would make your life better but didn't? I'll start...

I can recommend my kitchen tap with the extendable end, hair oil and phd half size protein bars.

I wouldn't recommend olaplex and babyliss big hair (although I have a head full of mental curls so might be more to do with my hair type!)

Napolina tinned tomatoes. They were a substitute for my usual Sainsburys own and I couldn't believe how much better tomato based soups/sauces tasted.

Olaplex 0,3,6 have made my ridiculously thin, fine, dry as straw hair look so much better and feel a bit less brittle. V impressed. Sorry you didn't find it any good OP

Uniqlo checked flannel lounging trousers. Virtually live in them indoors with various Uniqlo fleecy tops.

Bridgewater candle co scented sachets. Too nice to put in drawers so I have them in each room. I love Remember When which is like warm hug.

Emma mattress.

Saucony trainers

My heated fluffy blanket for snuggles on the sofa while watching a film.

Body shop hemp hand cream.

Mango hand wash from boots, smells sooooo good and it's only £2!

Definitely good kitchen knives - my brother got me a Wusthof chef's knife as a Xmas present a few years back, which seemed weird at the time but is now one of my favourite gifts ever. Also Victorinox do great and v. cheap small knives that remain terrifyingly sharp forever.

Also, good scented candles and my winter duvet, which is some ridiculously high tog rating and like being in a fort when you're tucked up under it. So good.

Fascinated by the under eye gels for tired eyes - may invest.

Mine:

Kindle paper light
Sheepskin slippers
Leather hand gloves - invaluable for walking without feeling bulky
L'Occitane Almond shower oil and moisturiser- velvet in a bottle!
A set of essential oil natural room sprays - were given as a gift by DH at Christmas. He bought 5 different blends and they're all incredible. Make me feel that I'm in a spa.

My IPad Pro.
It has face recognition for passwords, easy access using apps. With Barclays I can even take a photo of a cheque using their app and pay in. I've never been so organised!

Eufy
Like having a pet but better, he cleans up the mess rather than making it. Through the app he is scheduled to vacuum at a set time every day.
To the poster who mentioned wet floors, the schedule is set so that they are dry, he does the middle floor including the main bathroom in the afternoon once the wet floor from morning showers has dried. If I had endless amounts of money I would have an Eufy for each floor, all scheduled to clean without me thinking.😂

Thermal leggings
I wear them under my jeans and trousers when working at home.

Sleep apps
'Nothing much happens' stories ( using the iPad)

Cord dresses and shirts
Smart enough on work zoom but still warm.

The log burner
Like a huge warm cuddle

Silk pyjamas.
Actually not 100% silk, I sent the John Lewis 100% silk ones back as they would have been a nightmare to wash.
These, I found online are great.

Oh and free magazine reading, via my iPad and the local library.
Saves a fortune and I can dip in and out if there isn't anything interesting enough.

BashfulClam · 16/02/2021 10:02

My dishwasher. I despise washing dishes.

Carriemac · 17/02/2021 11:18

For whoever said click and grow - I bought one and am obsessed by it - so far it has cost me £45 per lettuce Grin

gavisconismyfriend · 13/03/2021 23:44

Heated throw - best thing ever for staying warm whilst WFH
Nordic socks, so cosy
Catherine Tough sheepskin slippers, also cosy
Shark cordless handheld - fab for skirting boards, stairs and edges
