@MeringueCloud

I am eating a chocolate orange. It was £1.
We too have just finished a £1 chocolate orange. It was delicious,
BadlydoneHelen · 01/11/2020 22:22

My supermarket delivery arrived a bit early this evening. There were no substitutions

billydilly · 01/11/2020 22:24

My cat just got into a box

I made chicken and pasta for dinner, it was in a creamy white wine sauce and I have enough left over for lunch tomorrow. 😋

PersisFord · 01/11/2020 22:36

@HelloDulling love the tiles!!!

I have just been to the pub with my friends. I was not sure if we were planning to eat there so I had a snack before but we didn’t eat and I am STARVING NOW!

I agree re: David suchet as poirot. If anyone else likes audiobooks, he is a great narrator, as is Hugh Fraser.

MeringueCloud · 01/11/2020 22:38

Well, Namealreadyinuse1, we had one each.

SilkieRabbits · 01/11/2020 23:04

I fell asleep and just woke up. Got an e-mail from my friend where we used to live.

Lovely bathroom Hello

caringcarer · 02/11/2020 00:40

I have been extremely excited and proud today but frustrated as well. My D's has a learning disability. He is also a talented cricketer and plays for county disability team. Today when we went to collect him after his academy session his coach came running after us to tell us he has written to the England disability team coach to see if DC can have a trial for England Development squad. We were are so excited and proud of him. Then county coach said he would have been doing trial in November but now it will most likely be the spring. Something lovely to look forward to. I so wanted to hug his coach.

Started watching Xmas movies today 🎄

Had roast chicken for supper, making stock too, so feel virtuous

Kids were asleep early which was fab

Sunshine1235 · 02/11/2020 03:58

Had a curry and watched an illegal stream of the football with DH. DH particularly happy for sticking it to the man who have started changing £15 per match for certain matches. Managed to paint my nails too while baby snoozed in her bouncy chair

HelenaJustina · 02/11/2020 06:32

Back to work today so woke up at 4am, went back to sleep again until the alarm went off at 6am. Already got a tension headache from clenching my jaw in my sleep. Wish me luck.

Spudlet · 02/11/2020 08:16

@HelloDulling Nice bathroom!

I have to look for anti mould paint today - the corner of our bedroom wall, down the side of my bedside table, is going black again. It’s on the corner of the house that gets the prevailing wind and every winter it goes. DH and I are both waking up feeling a bit chesty so it’s clearly doing us no good.

My new doormat and smoke alarm are due to be delivered today.

Namealreadyinuse1 · 02/11/2020 09:13

Pure decadence! I go through this pantomime every year of buying & then replacing them for DH stocking. It’s either that or the M&S blue box biscuits Shock

Will you share what paint you buy please? DS2s room has two external walls and is a nightmare for damp.

I just cut my first Teams meeting of the day short as I thought my second one started at 0930. It starts at 0945. I used my bonus 15 minutes to toast some fruit bread.

Taswama · 02/11/2020 10:03

That is amazing news @caringcarer ! Well done to your DS.

MeringueCloud · 02/11/2020 10:10

Having a cup of tea again. No choc orange though.

SilkieRabbits · 02/11/2020 10:10

Well done to your DS caringcarer

My DS couldn't find his Squidcard for school lunches this morning and was in a flap. DH then said he'ld washed and tumbled dried his blazer but not emptied the pockets Hmm So I paid for a new Squidcard and e-mailed school and hope he will still be able to get lunch.

DD did her morning run but came back late took a shower and was late for school, argh. DH started work at 3am but is about to sleep. Cat thought it was excellent and decided for a 4am and 6am double breakfast. His piano lesson is tonight. We have no milk but fortunately have a small supermarket in our lane.

Spudlet · 02/11/2020 10:56

@EggyPegg I’ve gone for Ronseal - I’ll let you know if it works in a couple of weeks 🤞

Squirrel26 · 02/11/2020 11:07

That’s lovely, @caringcarer. Also, if it’s in spring not in November - bonus for you if you have to watch and it’s outside!

What’s your cat learning on the piano, @SilkieRabbits??

Champagneforeveryone · 02/11/2020 11:53

I too am impressed by silkierabbits musical cat. ChampagneCat spends hours in the window watching her tv the bird feeder, chasing her catnip mouse and goading DDog3 so wouldn't have time to take up any sort of musical instrument

SilkieRabbits · 02/11/2020 12:01

Grin It's DH's lesson but the cat does do all DS's (ASD) school music lessons, DS won't do them alone so I call her and she sits on a stool and listens and blinks if she approves of the music and DS stands by her. She also does poetry lessons for similar reasons. She was mentioned the end of year school presentation by the Deputy Head for her services to poetry Grin

ladybee28 · 02/11/2020 12:10

It is 12:10 on a Monday and I, having just got out of the shower, am sitting under a blanket on the couch eating peanut butter Haagen Dazs and listening to the birds while DDog snores next to me.

I haven't even had breakfast.

I feel lazy and bored and decadent and thrilled all at once.

cushioncovers · 02/11/2020 12:12

I am painting my wardrobe doors and have spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to choose new door knobs to go on the doors. There's too much choice and the ones I really like I can't afford.

Squirrel26 · 02/11/2020 12:23

I have some door knobs I love on the hall cupboard. I think they’re from Sass and Bide. One has a stag on it and one has a fox.

Champagneforeveryone · 02/11/2020 12:44
