I went shopping earlier and most of it is still out on the side as i can't be bothered to decide which meats to freeze and which to put in the fridge.

I also cleaned out the hens and have done 3 loads of washing.

soddingkitten · 01/11/2020 16:02

I feel like you need some Joan Hickson era Miss Marple, MissConduct.

goose1964 · 01/11/2020 16:03

I had smoked salmon paté for lunch.

QueenZoopla · 01/11/2020 16:10

After giving up on daily lockdown walks (because walking around same area was making me literally cry- so much for the benefits of exercise!) today I've restarted my favourite YouTube workout video - enjoyed it, and have planned in 4 of them a week. Feeling pleased with myself 🙂

Spudlet · 01/11/2020 17:11

@Blueuggboots Well done, that’s brilliant! 👍👍

@sueelleker I fully expect this massage to hurt like hell, but hopefully it will feel good afterwards 😂🤞

HelloDulling · 01/11/2020 17:23

The. Bathroom. Is. Finished.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 01/11/2020 17:33

Yay, Dulling!

My physio has been cancelled bc. new lockdown, hairdresser is still on.
Let's see what my dentist does.

WorksTheDinerAllDay · 01/11/2020 17:37

Moved into this house in March. Finally cleaned the oven today Blush

SilkieRabbits · 01/11/2020 17:58

Well done HelloDulling

Bricks are picked up. Had lovely roast dinner followed by chocolate melt in middle pudding. DH is playing piano. I cut my own hair with scissors from Sainsburys. DS said he wasn't doing maths homework, I read all the questions to him and he answered them all. Confused

Children back at school tomorrow

SpeedofaSloth · 01/11/2020 18:04

Faggots for tea, with roast potatoes and parsnips and some greenery of some kind. My current favourite.

EggyPegg · 01/11/2020 19:22

@HelloDulling This might be far too exciting for this thread. Pictures please.

HelenaJustina · 01/11/2020 19:27

I’ve made soup, cleaned the kitchen, polished school shoes, sorted gloves and winter hats, changed DC beds. It’s grey and windy.

I know. It really is. I’m going to paint the walls again tomorrow, the pink is too dark. I wanted blush, not ice cream.

@HelloDulling congratulations, the bath looks smashing. I rather like the color.

DH mowed the lawn, hopefully for the last time this year, which had the added benefit of mulching the leaves. He also put down a winter fertilizer so that in the spring the grass will come up nicely.

We usually do teriyaki grilled chicken on Sunday but it started raining a few hours ago. DH found some of his leftover Instant Pot Mongolian chicken in the big freezer so we'll have that instead.

At 5:00 we'll do our weekly Zoom call with DS at uni and my lovely MIL. He'll have to do the call on his phone as his laptop is still in the shop. I really hope we can just keep him here to finish his semester remotely after he comes home for Thanksgiving.

I'm still pursuing Foyle's War. Even Britbox doesn't have it, at least in the US. @soddingkitten, thanks for the Miss Marple suggestion. That I can watch on Amazon Prime Video.

We went out for dinner. Every one enjoyed their meal. Tried to book in for Xmas day but they were fully booked.

Mooselaurels · 01/11/2020 20:01

MY NEW TELESCOPE HAS ARRIVED!!

So excited. Naturally new astronomy gear always comes with clouds so have to wait to try it out properly :(

MeringueCloud · 01/11/2020 20:02

Going to put the kettle on.

EggyPegg · 01/11/2020 20:18

@HelloDulling I love your shower screen.

@MeringueCloud I think I'll join you.

DS1 was suitably obnoxious before bed tonight. He does it for sport.

I am going to try to get both of my uni assignments fully started on paper this evening. Both are due in on the 12th. Then DH and I will catch up with Fridays Gogglebox.

soddingkitten · 01/11/2020 20:21

There are some exciting happenings on the thread today, but well done Blueuggboots and HelloDulling. 🎉

MissConduct - there have been several incarnations of Miss Marple. Julia McKenzie was a bit too twinkly and jolly for my liking. Joan Hickson in the 80s was the archetypal shrewd, buttoned-up maiden aunt with superb observational skills. Poirot with David Suchet as Hercule Poirot is great too.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 01/11/2020 20:42

I am rewatching Alien .

DD starts her 3rd semester tomorrow. I asked her to put her schedule on the pinboard at the dining table where the calendar and DS's timetable are. So she not interrupted by her DF coming in singing, or me talking about cats, or so .... Grin

enjoyingthequiet · 01/11/2020 20:44

Squirrel26 thanks for that. I'll try suggesting a "fade to" colour to DD. She can be stubborn.....but lockdown may defeat even her 😂

Nydj · 01/11/2020 21:52

Congratulations @Blueuggboots !
The bathroom looks lovely @HelloDulling

I made grape jam yesterday. I didn’t know about the came sugar thing either.

Today, I finally got round to wet-sanding some pottery that was fired in September. I don’t have a kiln but was lucky enough to find someone to fire my pieces in September. I now need to find somewhere to glaze and glazefire them as the classes I go to for this are not likely to resume for the foreseeable.

Wow, I am impressed by how dull I made the pottery stuff 👆sound.

Nydj · 01/11/2020 21:54

@MissConductUS, thank you for explaining about your running in the middle of the night - I had been wondering about it too. I am very impressed by how little sleep you must survive on.

DDiva · 01/11/2020 22:07

My holiday tomorrow is cancelled, I have a shopping delivery arriving tomorrow 8-9am as I have no food in. Then need to go to the post office with a couple of parcels.
I am currently drinking too much wine....

MeringueCloud · 01/11/2020 22:12

I am eating a chocolate orange. It was £1.
