Good. His arrogance and refusal to apologise (ever, for anything) has come back to bite him.

Noblegiraffe read the annexe report it is clear who the participants were , why they were involved in the bullying and the purpose behind it. I know you dont want to believe it. I know you want to deny it. Because it doesnt suite your agenda. Well it exists. So read it.

VitreousHumour · 30/10/2020 13:26

I know that 'leaked' report - it was a laughably inadequate response to the then-unpublished statutory EHRC report, written, and leaked, with the transparent aim of exonerating Corbyn. There is nothing - nothing - in it which comes close to proving that non-Corbynites conspired to foil the investigation of antisemitism complaints.

If this is your evidence..

noblegiraffe · 30/10/2020 13:29

I read the EHRC report that mentioned Corbyn himself intervened at times.

Support for that nasty little toad JC!

Really?! 🙄

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 13:32

Vitreous Humour Nothing? The 100s of texts and WhatsApp messages, the abuse, threats as evidence . Thats nothing!????? The evidence from the Annexe report was clear and even acknowledged by Starmer H e has tried to subsequently tried to mute its importance. It was clear that is exactly what was happening: that sabotage was afoot and antisemitism was not being investigated as it should have been in order to undermine Corbyn. You want to be in denial about it. Thats you prerogative. Doesnt mean it didn't happen just because you said it didn't.

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 13:34

noble giraffe lets see the links from the EHRC report it make it easier to understand than having it via third party

noblegiraffe · 30/10/2020 13:41

You haven’t read the EHRC report?

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 13:42

Yes and I provided links when I discussed earlier. So provide the same.

supportivemyarse · 30/10/2020 13:47

noblegiraffe I agree with your POV. But you will not get the Corbyn supporters to see it, they're too deep into a personality cult.

Lonelycrab · 30/10/2020 13:49

As a many times labour voter (inc last election) I am glad he’s gone.

He lost twice. He was not charismatic. He failed to connect with the public, although to his fans he’s obviously a god that can do no wrong.

Time to move forward. The only way labour will ever regain power is by appealing to the middle ground.

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 13:54

I will listen to alternative opinions and feel it is important to explore all avenues to insure antisemitism is eradiated within the Labour party. As suggested by the EHRC report debate is important and should not be closed down. However. I dont think this particular discussion point is going anywhere. There is deep denial on this thread about the sabotaging that occurred during the 2017 GE. The fact that antisemitic incidents were not followed up in order to undermine party leadership is disgraceful. I am going to leave the thread now. I wish love and peace and good health to you and your loved ones.

Blackberrycream · 30/10/2020 13:55

It was commissioned by Jennie Formby. Labour’s own lawyers argued against it’s validity due in part to the trawling of private messages and the selective presentation of information.

Jennie Formby was heading the complaints procedures. She is either incompetent and can’t get a handle on basic procedures ( trying to blame those working under you..) or trying to shift blame. She is a very close ally of Corbyn. Tom Watson fell foul of asking for access to information about the complaints procedures under Jennie Formby.
‘Leaked’ reports seem slightly incompetent too. It is toddleresque in its transparency.

Moonmelodies · 30/10/2020 13:55

Maybe it's time for him and his supporters to set up their own party. Keen on socialism, and on nationalising stuff, they could call it the National Socialist party or somesuch.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/10/2020 14:00

There was a leaked report into the Labour Party’s Governance and Legal Unit ...

Do you mean the one dated March this year? The one which was produced by Momentum/the party itself?

Forgive me, but I'm not entirely sure that a post-defeat excuse fest from a bunch of people fighting a hopeless cause is a useful source for unbiased assessment ...

Blackberrycream · 30/10/2020 14:06

moonmelodies. I really hope so as we need a strong opposition . This personality cult is so odd and chilling. He can do no wrong in the eyes of his supporters as this thread has shown.

supportivemyarse · 30/10/2020 14:11

Moonmelodies surely you're not hinting at a Nationalist Socialist Workers party? we all know how those turn out.

the tories must be laughing their arses off. he's gone but still causing an almighty row at a time when Labour really should be focused on regaining their base, not threatening a split because of him.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/10/2020 14:12

@bbbbbbbbbccccc

Well I certainly wont be putting my cross in the box for Starmer. And I know many people who wont be either.
Me neither, as I don't live in his constituency. I will vote Labour though.

Labour List note that the biggest reason people didn't vote Labour last year was Corbyn, together with other entwined issues. He was the main problem though.

And the Exec Committee suspended him, not Starmer, for what he said about the report, not for his part in what the report revealed about the party.

It’s Chapter 5 ‘Political Interference in the Handling of Antisemitism Complaints’

No, I’m not hitting at anything. I just don’t think that it is sensible to try and appease extremists and racists. Starmer is doing the right thing. It might not win the next election but it is the only way forward. There are some votes you really don’t want.
Blackberrycream · 30/10/2020 14:18

Hinting not hitting 😀

BillMasen · 30/10/2020 14:26

This thread shows how deep this seems to run in the far left

Corbyn was anti-Semitic. It was clear, and is even clearer now.

Those defending him are either also anti-Semitic, or apologists for it.

It is an absolute cancer within the party that is supposed to stand for fairness. I needs removing, and only then can I and many others again vote for a party we believe in.

supportivemyarse · 30/10/2020 14:37

blackberry that was to Moonmelodies, but yes I wondered because her name for it is a bit close to Nat Soc Workers, the ultimate anti-semite party.

Agree Starmer should be allowed get on with it and be well supported. Why on earth not? He's a decent politician with an excellent record, the party needs a steady hand right now, not a blowhard.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 30/10/2020 14:49

Useful though, don't you think?

I certainly wouldn't blame an entire party for the views of a few individual members, but all the same it's interesting to see the kind of attitudes they're harbouring

bbbbbbbbbccccc · 30/10/2020 14:53

Noble giraffe. You will find that the 'interference' referred to in EHRC is related to Corbyn having Ken Livingstone removed from the party.
