Good. His arrogance and refusal to apologise (ever, for anything) has come back to bite him.

what a shock that Keir screws him over along with others in 2017 and then uses a rubbish inaccurate report to remove him

Yeah right, I'm sure the Equality and Human Rights Commission are Tory shills too. Those Jewish MPs who resigned from the party were just making it up.

Presumably you think the whole thing is some big conspiracy?

KnightsofColumbusThatHurt · 29/10/2020 14:35

JC has always come across as the type of bloke who would throw his own Nana under a bus if he thought it would make him look good to certain people.

I welcome this move, let's push Labour forward.

Coldwinds · 29/10/2020 14:37

KS might just be the guy to bring us leavers back 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Excellent decisive move by Starmer. Potentially makes the Labour Party electable. I left the party when Corbyn was elected leader, now I can re-join.

LittleBearPad · 29/10/2020 14:38

@dreamingbohemian

I see a lot of people predicting this will help lead to a new socialist breakaway party. Maybe that would be for the best?
Yes they can disappear into their own ignored echo chamber.
Coldwinds · 29/10/2020 14:40

It is a good move, it was swift, decisive and will be read as strong leadership

I agree. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen such swift in house cleaning from both parties. We’ve had a run of MP refusing to leave/resign and getting away with shit.

zigaziga · 29/10/2020 14:40

Good, I can consider voting Labour now.

Silvergreen · 29/10/2020 14:41

@Maireas

Good news. I'm just waiting for someone to come on and say "what about Islamophobia?" etc etc in order to make the issue appear unimportant.
What about islamaphobia?

Johnson has made all his racist remarks and got promoted to prime minister. Hypocrites.

derxa · 29/10/2020 14:43

Corbyn showing his true colours now. He stood by while Jewish Labour MPs were being abused and hounded

Devilesko · 29/10/2020 14:43

Hope it comes back the same for Gove, Patel and Johnson, they are more racist than Corbyn was an anti semite.
I guess conservatives are allowed to be overtly racist.
One rule for the rich again, say what they want and get away with it.
They are all as bad, some become the fall guy, others get away with it, depending on the party.

Titslikepicassos · 29/10/2020 14:44

@EmbarrassedUser

Good, he’s a knob. Go BoJo 👌
Eh?!

What has Boris Johnson got to do with this?

Palladin · 29/10/2020 14:46

Excellent news, although I wish his antisemitism had been dealt with many years ago.

MillieVanilla · 29/10/2020 14:48

@DimidDavilby

Keir Starmer is a pathetic ham faced twat.
👏👏👏👏 And if JC does set up his own party he will have a million members by Christmas

Hilarious
Youngatheart00 · 29/10/2020 14:49

Quite right too. Nasty man.

C130 · 29/10/2020 14:49

What are the Conservative party doing about their racist leader, or is that ok.

Sparklfairy · 29/10/2020 14:52

@C130

They can't oust him yet as they're all too weak and cowardly to put themselves forward to replace him Grin

He'll be gone soon enough. This is a big step forward.

In the Labour party? I think Corbyn was a bit tougher on that.

I don't follow politics much but I'm reasonably sure they aren't in the Labour party so I'd be surprised if Starmer is able to withdraw the whip from them too.

Maireas · 29/10/2020 14:53

@Silvergreen I do hope the Conservative party addresses prejudices in the way the Labour Party now has. One type of discrimination does not excuse another.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 29/10/2020 14:54

Whattaboutism at its finest from some very disgruntled Corbyn supporters on this thread.
As for racism being ok for the rich, err is Corbyn poor? Last time I checked he lived in Islington

Devilesko · 29/10/2020 14:55

derxa

I'm glad you find racism hilarious, says a lot about you.

RelaisBlu · 29/10/2020 14:55

What about Shami Chakrabarti who got a peerage following her report into anti-semitism in the Labour Party? Her position is now surely compromised?

Corbyn is also from the elite, upper middle class, went to a prestigious private school. Same as Bozo and his ilk. Difference is he wanted to pull up the drawbridge behind him. What are you talking about?
NativityDreaming · 29/10/2020 14:57

Good. It’s about time Labour deals with this issue.

MillieVanilla · 29/10/2020 14:57

Yes because it is indeed that, same as Keir's excuse to get rid of Rebecca Lloyd Bailey There have been high ranking Jewish Labour supporters who have said it's utter rubbish. Michael Rosen for starters, Miriam Margoyles another. Keir Starmer may be smug now but watch when the tabloids rake up his involvement in not bringing charges against celebrity paedophiles and he will be destroyed. Keir's about as left as my right foot. Poundshop Blair.
