Howl's Moving Castle is fantastic. I love Calcifer and Howl is really handsome for an anime character 😍. Curry takeaway at our house tonight followed by an episode of Columbo. AIBU in suspecting he doesn't really have a wife and just pretends?

Watched Paranormal Activity with the teens. All terrified. Had to look up to check it's not 'true'

I did a lovely baked skate wing and the cat is still in the box

My newest yarn delivery arrived today so I am watching The Real Marigold Hotel and have started the blanket I should have started two months ago.

I installed Office 2007 on my Windows 10 laptop so I don't have to use Office 365. Lots of time sitting watching the screen with not much happening.

I’ve just ordered a new whisk.

I’m frying half an onion with herbs to make turkey sausages for dh. Already smells quite sausage-y.

Going for a run, then housework and taking youngest DC to football. Extremely dull and unexciting. I may do some embroidery this afternoon to liven things up.

Drinking tea in bed , listening to wind and rain , contemplating yet another soggy walk . Don’t think my horse jacket has been dry for about a week . Hound more interested in my tea , but if she doesn’t go out , she starts being a vandaL so we’ll have to go .

I am waiting for the rain to stop - we have to take a large pepper plant inside

I'm taking my son for a Halloween playdate today

It's really windy here.

The neighbours are chopping down a tree. We are all wondering what they plan to do with the wood.

I've just out a load of washing on and I've now retreated back to bed with a cup of decaf tea. I might have a bagel for breakfast. Need to get the beef out of the freezer for tomorrow's lunch when so remember.

I’m watching a Foyle’s War with a glass of wine. I don’t have my glasses to hand, so can’t really see it, but I’ve seen this one before so it doesn’t really matter.

My daylight lamp just arrived - today sunrise was at 7 and sundown will be at 16:39 and it is overcast and not really light anyway. So I am gald to have it.

I washed the new bath mat for the first time this morning, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it could go in the dryer. It's now dry and warm and looking much cleaner on the bathroom floor.

I’ve put the washing machine on and am now sitting on the sofa drinking coffee. I call this ‘doing housework’.

My neck is a bit stiff. Probably because my horse dumped me on my arse last night. Let’s hope he’s in a better mood today...

I went to Aldi this morning for stuff for packed lunches.

Wet and windy here - yet again!

I am working a report that needs to be completed before Monday.

DH and Sodding are supervising the carving of the freebie pumpkins in the other room. DS complained that his Sharpie went through a soggy patch as he was drawing his design on. It’s a good job its Hallowe’en today, as there are quite a few soggy patches on these battered pumpkins.

Traditionally (in my and DH's home area) today would be the day the family graves were made ready for winter and because the days after would be Allhallows and Allsouls, the graves would be adorned with colourful lights. Families would visit the cemeteries and the graves of their family for rememberance and - if so inclined - prayers.

There is no such tradition where we are now.
