Good, that means the evidence of racist abuse, trolling, creating fake photoshopped DM conversations, discussing how best to word malicious false reports, how best to try to manipulate MNHQ, and discussing how to create fake MN accounts pretending to be black in order to make black people look like white-hating racists, is preserved.

Looks like it’s back up. So maybe people can go and look for themselves and see if the claims of racism are true. I personally haven’t come across racism on there.

So you didn’t notice the MM threads, the BLM threads, the Justine thread. The posts of the minstrels and said picture being compared to black MNers. People boasting about making MN accounts pretending to be black posters purely to troll the new section for black MNers so they could prove that all black people hate white people.

I saw them desperately spam the board for posters to poach a while back, and saw some of the crap they came out with.
Not necessarily racist crap, but bitchy crap and yeah, what with that as well sounds like a bit of a good mood black hole.

How funny that it’s back after the attention-drawing threads here. Who’d have thought it? It’s almost as if it was a ploy to get mentioned here in a way that wouldn’t be deleted and direct traffic to the site.

Or was this all a ploy (I have to admit I looked at it when it launched and then didn't bother again... we're all over for a nose now aren't we? :S)

Wouldn't put it past them, the spamming of MN for members when it first opened was really something else.

It was a great place to chat during lockdown- very helpful lots of shared advice.

I haven't been on lately. I find the obsession with Meghan Markle overbearing (and yes some of it is racist and the rest is just bonkers- people who seem to think that they know all about her)

If all that vile racism upthread is true, why on earth would anyone want to go see for themselves?
To add to the traffic?
At least it might make MN pleasant if some more racist s**ts pop off elsewhere.

I am sure there were some good people who posted regularly there, moderate posters and I feel sorry for them especially if they were getting support and it's been cut off.

However.....
having been ridiculed, abused, lied about, slated, for months and months, often daily, I am not going to pretend that I'm not glad it's closed down. Best news for me. I now feel free of their disgusting trolling of me, copying and pasting my MN posts, following me round here daring each other to post stuff to annoy me on various threads I'm on. (all because I don't think M&H are spawn of the devil)

Their obsession with MN and its posters I think has contributed to this closure. You cannot have a site that exists just 'because it's not MN'.
They could not let it go, and their posting about MN was increasing.
That would put new members off I feel.

Personally, I think certain members brought this on themselves, a great shame for the decent posters over there, but an un-moderated site can turn pretty nasty and certain posters over there did behave like they were in charge of everything, from what I could see and would see off anyone with a different viewpoint, despite saying continually how nice they all were. Yes. If you didn't disagree.

Oh and there was a lot of racism too.

Plus the fact I was on there when it started and it’s mildly amusing to see it spiral round the plug hole because Racists Gonna Racist if given the opportunity.

I’ve just checked. It’s not up. I clicked on the Justine Roberts thread and posts appeared. Then when I looked at another thread the line came up that it’s closed as the inconsequential complaints have got too much and all personal data will shortly be destroyed. Then when I looked at the JR thread, the message appeared that the site is closed.

slithytove the Minstrels pic was in the Justine and Mumsnet thread, not a H&M one. When the Black Mumsnetters board was set up is when it appeared.
Couple of “not cool” responses to it, but that’s all.

How did you know this Rousette? I post a lot on mumsnet. I never had anything like this.

It was the resident totes Hilaire fawned over bloke who proudly posted the black and white minstrels “joke”.

Someone put a minstrels photo on and from what I could see was absolutely pulled up and told off for it. They apologised. Nobody acknowledged it as anything but racism and it was made clear that it was completely unacceptable. I wasn't on there much tbh but it was alright, not the hotbed of vicious racism that is being claimed on this thread by certain posters that that site was set up in a direct response to.
