Seems to have shut up shop as from this morning.

I'm a bit sad to see it go. I like the support that's offered on smaller, less anonymous sites. It was a bit like Damsels back in the early 00s.

Gosh, whether to spend my time on a site for massive racists or one with a 'clunky user interface', that really is a tough choice

It simply wasn't full of massive racists. There were plenty who didn't agree with critical race theory though, which I suppose is much the same thing to many these days.

No other threads really took off, did they? Apart from the Mumsnet one (and apparently the MM one, but I avoid those on principle so wouldn’t have seen any content of comment count).
Even the Mumsnet one was continually dragged back to racism. You could almost smell the desperation of that poster when it wandered off into general chat about the wider MN. They’d leap in with a “what about that new section on there, eh?/have you seen what M&H have done NOW?”.
It got very dull, never mind the animal abuse videos and racism.
Genuine chatty posters just never got a chance to help it take off.

Did you ever read their BLM thread? Or the ranting about the new black board on here and the trolling of the person who asked for it to be set up?

It is true it was full of racists.

Mumsnet is slagged off on other forums as well, not just the now defunct MC .
There are plenty of people on here that are unpleasant . There are plenty that are lovely.

Good, that means the evidence of racist abuse, trolling, creating fake photoshopped DM conversations, discussing how best to word malicious false reports, how best to try to manipulate MNHQ, and discussing how to create fake MN accounts pretending to be black in order to make black people look like white-hating racists, is preserved.

Good point - for all those crying "didn't happen!" it'll be easy to show erm, yes, actually, it did. If you were truly a racist though you wouldn't see or accept the evidence though even if slapped about the head with it. (Figure of speech before anyone cries)

On our forum owner spat his dummy out and took it off line for a time, did not blame him at all. Now he uses moderators who are volunteers and get flack when they have to intervene. I did it for two years got regular abuse after politely intervening at first, speaking behind the scenes to other mods. getting agreement to remove crazy offensive posts which I then got blamed for. Having to approve the posts of incorrigible posters who were on the naughty step for a time. It is a bugger of a job.

In other words keep making assertions of vicious racism on there without actually ever even having looked at the place. Right

Sounds like some people never grew up and the posters who were happy there felt like they'd made friends.
