Seems to have shut up shop as from this morning.

OP posts:

@Samcro

I wouldn't go back to a supermarket after slagging it off publicly. its a good call about stopping the M threads. I have never in 16 years I have been on here seen so many threads slagging one person off.
People do go to shops they've slagged them off though. Just look at all those thousands of posts earlier in the year about people who were in a frothing rage because they couldn't get a home delivery slot out of Waitrose for love or money. Or when a delivery did finally arrive, it was a total cock-up. Where do they all still shop?

Slagging something off on an anonymous forum is not the same as doing it in public. Some people take advantage of that, I guess.

I've rarely done anything other than avoid the H&M threads like the plague. Once or twice I had a peek on here to find out what all the fuss was about, and then backed rapidly away again. So I won't even notice they've gone. No doubt people will go back to gossiping about VB again instead.

_

would this help?

Ratched · 14/10/2020 18:45

Just had a look at that site and it is starting up again by the look of it.....

Nancydowns · 14/10/2020 18:45

You might have drawn that line prematurely. It's back up.

Saucery · 14/10/2020 18:49

With a Mysterious Administrator and mentions of ‘Federal Laws’?

Who could resist! Sounds legit Hmm

The site is USA operated, so their federal laws would apply.
BoreOfWhabylon · 14/10/2020 18:53

It's like bloody Brigadoon

Roussette · 14/10/2020 18:58

And will it remove mention of MN and MNers or is it just going to carry on like before?

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/10/2020 19:00

Surely not Roussette! After all, everyone from there who has turned up here is shocked and horrified at all the doxxing and trolling and had no idea it was going on at all...

Samcro · 14/10/2020 19:04

I will draw a line under it... when its gone lol

Agogastwoagogthingsgogging · 14/10/2020 19:06

All accounts have been deleted due to (some very convenient) federal laws (that allow them to remove the offending posts) Hmm

Port1aCastis · 14/10/2020 19:06

Federal law, accounts wiped hmmm the plot thickens!

BathtubGin · 14/10/2020 19:09

@Port1aCastis

Federal law, accounts wiped hmmm the plot thickens!
The person who ran it was in the USA- they were very open about that
Port1aCastis · 14/10/2020 19:10

Well the person who informed the police has screenshots, so accounts being wiped will not hide the offending posts.

Roussette · 14/10/2020 19:11

I berluddy hope not Bore or they might find people do not remain so silent about offensive stuff any more.

IF it's run properly, fine. But the IF in capitals is crucial

BIWI · 14/10/2020 19:11

The posts are still there though, aren't they? It's just the accounts that have been deleted. So on page 517 the fake reddit screen shot is still there for all to see, along with the poster's username

Saucery · 14/10/2020 19:23

Oh god, it’s like watching Gabe Lewis attempting to take over the Scranton branch Shock

JohnMcCainsDeathStare · 14/10/2020 19:25

Keyboard warriors who have never heard of the WayBack Machine.

Why the fuck would I know what was going on in threads I never looked?
Leimarel · 14/10/2020 19:31

I wonder if the person who has taken over MC realises what they have on their hands? And will they delete the Mumsnet thread and the H&M thread, so it's all shiny and happy and no-one new will ever know it was a hotbed of overt racism? Oh, and will the main protagonist (the one who named herself after a royal charity) return?

Does anyone actually care? Grin

I'm watching from behind a cushion.
Samcro · 14/10/2020 19:35

This is now reminding me of mouldies.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/10/2020 19:35

Well, quite.

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/10/2020 19:36

Innit though Grin
BIWI · 14/10/2020 19:39

I wonder if MNHQ are going to allow threads to run to 3000 like they did with Mouldies @Samcro?! Grin
