Any new Eufy Robovac parents out there?

A couple of weeks ago there was a flurry of recommendations for the Eufy RoboVac on a couple of threads.
Several posters declared they would be buying one. I was one of them.
I wondered how other new owners were getting on. We are delighted with ours.
To start with it did not seem like a time saver, but this was because we were so fascinated with its purposeful scurrying that we just sat and watched it.
Now it gets going via the app every morning at 6.30 and does three rooms plus many yards of hall carpet.
It is truly amazing how much it picks up. After four days on the same route it still fills up each time. It seems to be mainly picking up dust, but where does it keep coming from?
Just two complaints: the small pieces of adhesive paper supplied is not very sticky. You use those if you want to create a barrier. When you interrupt its routine to tell it to go back to its base it won’t go straight there but rather indignantly insists on going via the pretty route.
Otherwise great!
Anyone else?

I have a 30c and I absolutely love it. Make sure you get one with WiFi so you can say " Alexa ask Brian to start cleaning" or set it going via the app when you're out.

I'm really impressed with how well it hoovers the edges and corners.

My mum saw mine at work and immediately ordered one for herself.

How does it do with thick pile carpets? My dyson upright really struggles and I have to pull it rather than push!

If I were to get the mopping one, could it cope somehow with cat vomit? Either by dealing with it if the liquid kind or avoiding it?!?

I want to set one to go around automatically but worry it's just going to spread any vomit around further! It's an almost daily occurance in this house.....

This is Rosham (Eufy). We've had him a year or more and it's love. He's massively reduced the rows about dog and cat hair all over the house.

Honestly, wouldn't be without him now. He goes off at 10am every morning. We've even put our sofa and the beds onto raised feet so he can clean underneath them all. No more dust bunnies!

I have hard floors and carpets.

I don’t have Alexa, do I need that, or can I use it on a smart phone?

Now I’m worried my tech skills won’t be up to this! 🤯

My Eufy is being delivered today. I'm so annoyed that we're going away for the weekend and I won't be able to get him/her out until Monday!

DobbyTheHouseElk it also comes with a remote thingy so even without a smart phone it will work.

You don't need any tech. You get a remote control with it.

@motherofawhirlwind it will sadly just spread the vomit. I learned the hard way after a dog poo accident that I didn't spot in time Confused.

I have lots of little rooms, often with one step between them.
How would it cope with a single stair?

I haven't used the wifi, I just press start when I want him to set off. You can do it so you can control him on your phone but I haven't so far felt the need.

@atad, they can manage small lips / edges but not steps , you would have to pick him up or build him a ramp !

Had our Eufy for about 2 weeks now & love him!

Goes over thresholds, from carpet to tiles & doesn't fall out the back door. Goes under the coffee table which is brilliant as fluff/toys always seem to accumulate there.

We've got 2 labradors & 2 cats so lots of hair & it copes really well.

I usually set it off after lunch & then when I go upstairs to put the kids to bed. It's lovely coming down to clean floors for the evening with no effort.

I just use the remote, haven't needed/wanted to use my phone etc to control it.

It's my new favourite pet!! Grin

Can I ask for some advice please? I was thinking of buying one for DD and DSIL, they work hard and I thought it would be a help but might they be offended? I mean does it look like I'm saying their house is dirty which it isn't and it is partly because I know they like it immaculate that I thought it would be good for them.

If you think it would be acceptable as a gift which one do you think I should get?
