Absolutely hate it.
Yesterday the weather forecast predicted a cooler day today
No rain here or anything. Muggy as hell.
Supposedly tomorrow is a bit cooler. Is this even reliable? Why cant they get the weather right. Aarrhdjdjd ndkskwowjshdbdbdnm

It was fresher here earlier although still bright and sunny. It's clouded over now, the wind has dropped and we're back to incredibly hot and sticky.

Tenementfunster · 13/08/2020 13:23

@MinesaBottle

I’m loving the breeze (SW London too), it’s the first day all week I haven’t had the fan going.

We were really put out by shots of rain and hail in Twickenham and Richmond yesterday evening on the London news - we’re not that far away but we were sat watching telly in our undies with the garden doors wide open and the fan on Sad. DH reckons our lower council tax meant we missed out on the rain.

GrinWe do pay a lot of council tax to get those clouds relocated from over Wandsworth and the like to Richmond and Twickenham. We will be back for your snow in a few months. It’s bloody boiling here in the disputed borderlands of sw London
AntiHop · 13/08/2020 14:05
@AntiHop nah, it’s “Greater” London, you can’t sit with us real Londoners 👐🏻
@Hairthrowaway I don't actually live in Richmond (I wish!).

There is no such things as "greater London". You are making things up. There are 33 London boroughs. All of them are London. They all come under the greater london authority, everyone who lives in them gets to vote for the mayor of london. Why is this difficult to understand for you?

DillonPanthersTexas · 13/08/2020 14:13

Lots of leafy SW London types here.

GreyGardens88 · 13/08/2020 14:20

Wind is picking up here in West London

bookmum08 · 13/08/2020 14:22

I have just been informed by my husband that it rained at 6am. I don't believe him. I think he must have dreamed it.

bobotit · 13/08/2020 14:32

As a born & bred Londoner I have to agree with @Hairthrowaway. Places in zone 6 etc are obviously in greater London but they don't tend to be the urbanised areas you think of when envisaging city living.

pasteldechocolateconchispa · 13/08/2020 14:33

Hello I am west London...one of the 32! Wonderful rain storm yesterday, still hot and bothered today.

32 boroughs and City of London makes 33 that’s why they have their own police force and don’t come under the Met

bobotit · 13/08/2020 14:36

It's not the heat its the muggy & sticky shite I can't stand.

Vinorosso74 · 13/08/2020 14:38

The breeze is getting up in North London now. We're proper urban here zone 2.

bobotit · 13/08/2020 14:43

Oh Im in Z 2/3 SW (but was born in Camden, yes I'm a traitor!) but I can feel a breeze! No rain as yet

GreyGardens88 · 13/08/2020 14:44

Zone 2 here as well
chuffedasbuttons · 13/08/2020 14:54

It's raining. It's pouring. Mid Kent

LBOCS2 · 13/08/2020 15:12

As a Londoner born within the sound of Bow Bells, I have to disagree @bobotit; it's all London - which is ultimately made up of a series of villages. I will say though that we now live in the very outskirts of what I'd consider to be London, proper or otherwise.

(I'm very much enjoying this extra Londoneritis. Do my children get extra points for being third generation, or is that only for offspring who speak exclusively in rhyming slang?)

Anyhoo. It's fucking hot, no rain since very early this morning but there is thunder rumbling around the hills of Croydon.

absolutehush · 13/08/2020 15:20

Hmmmmm I have to say I think the limits of London proper is zone 4. But that's because the tube goes a bit feral after then.

Do I get extra London points for being born in the same central London hospital as my mum and having my DD there?

In other news, very breezy and dark grey skies here... bring on the rain ☔️

soundsystem · 13/08/2020 15:25

Breeze picking up here too... dark clouds coming towards us... we're in the park eating ice cream... but not that fussed if we get wet on the way home! (E11 - definitely London!)

SuperDuperJezebel · 13/08/2020 15:28

SW London here, still baking. Bit of a breeze now, sky is getting darker, but still so clammy. Can't decide whether to risk the park again!

bobotit · 13/08/2020 15:33

@LBOCS2 my point was imo when people think about London as one of the greatest cities in the world with all its multiculturalism & diversity, urbanisation etc they are not envisaging places like Reigate & Caterham but we will have to agree to disagree.

HollysBush · 13/08/2020 15:33

Lovely downpour happening on the south coast now. Biiig smile on my face. Don’t even care that friends may cancel bbq tomorrow. Just to be cool is fabulous.

bobotit · 13/08/2020 15:35

Do my children get extra points for being third generation, or is that only for offspring who speak exclusively in rhyming slan

Ha, maybe! In the true spirit of London my parents are immigrants.

dontcallmelen · 13/08/2020 15:35

Getting darker here in SE London zone 4 though so might not count, can hear thunder in the distance but no rain as yet.

bobotit · 13/08/2020 15:37

Getting darker here too

MarshaBradyo · 13/08/2020 15:39

SE London bits of thunder
Washing in
Finally a storm has been moving back on iPhone for days

doadeer · 13/08/2020 15:40

North london where is the rain?!!

Iwasonceabrownie · 13/08/2020 15:41

Couple of rumbles here in South East, but no rain as yet. Temperature in my hall is still 28.
