Absolutely hate it.
Yesterday the weather forecast predicted a cooler day today
No rain here or anything. Muggy as hell.
Supposedly tomorrow is a bit cooler. Is this even reliable? Why cant they get the weather right. Aarrhdjdjd ndkskwowjshdbdbdnm

@DillonPanthersTexas

Ferocious storm in Twickenham earlier
That’s where I was. It was AMAZING!
JackPaul · 12/08/2020 21:28

It probably is slightly cooler tonight but i'm still incredibly uncomfortable. I'm nowhere near Richmond but saw floods there on the news 😔 poor sods.

I feel for you having a newborn in this heat, Englishrain.

I can't wait for 15 c and under weather 😭
I have 2 fans either side of me. Eyes dry and sore. I'm still sweaty despute wearing and doing very little. I have been ordering food in as i cant bear any food prep or cleaning. I just feel so yuck. My whole body is uncomfortable. Hot weather feels like punishment. Inferno.

Richmond/Twickenham aren't even London

Hairthrowaway · 12/08/2020 21:31

Richmond and Twickenham can be considered “Greater London” though. So not quite actual-London

Youngatheart00 · 12/08/2020 21:32

Awfully hot and muggy in north London. None of the promised rain. My app now tells me it’s due to start at 5am tomorrow but it’s been forecasting rain and storms for the past 2 days that keep getting pushed back or missed.

My garden is absolutely parched!

FinnyStory · 12/08/2020 21:33

@GreyGardens88

Well you need to tell the BBC then!

Not sure how you worked that one out, as they are both quite clearly located in the "London Borough of Richmond upon Thames" Wink One of the 32, if I'm not mistaken.
hadenoughbleach · 12/08/2020 21:38

Apologies Hairthrowaway, I meant to quote GreyGardens88 below you!

Hairthrowaway · 12/08/2020 21:38

@hadenoughbleach are you even a born and bred Londoner? As most of us wouldn’t consider them to be “London”. They don’t even have London postcodes. The boroughs of London have chopped and changed over decades.

Duchessofealing · 12/08/2020 21:38

Glorious storm in Ealing at about 3 - cooler outside too but still muggy inside. Bring on autumn!

hadenoughbleach · 12/08/2020 21:38

And yes, this heat needs to stop now, and the heavens need to open!

strawberryplanting · 12/08/2020 21:38

Richmond so isn't London!

JackPaul · 12/08/2020 21:40

Still about 26 here in sw London. Only forecast to fall to 21. Apparently the term ‘tropical night’ is used for when it does not drop below 20 degrees, and we have just had 3 in a row.

Meant to rain tomorrow but still 30 degrees max and only dropping to 19 overnight.

It is slowly getting better but I suspect will be uncomfortable for a few more days. It is the nights that are a bore as really hard to sleep.

JackPaul · 12/08/2020 21:41

That was for the "you need to tell bbc then" comment

hadenoughbleach · 12/08/2020 21:41

@Hairthrowaway yes I was, and still am...if it's a London Borough, I'm happy to call it London, I'm not one of those people who think you need to be born within hearing distance of the Bow Bells Hmm

JackPaul · 12/08/2020 21:43

Yeah im very grumpy as not sleeping well. Everything feels like such an effort.

SillyUnMurphy · 12/08/2020 21:44

London/Hertfordshire border here and we haven’t had a drop of rain. Had a few thunder claps around 3pm and then nothing. Like a PP we’re suppose to have rain from 5am and cooler from Friday. I can’t bloody wait - it’s 30C in my house at the moment Angry

London / Herts Border here (now I’m no longer in Not-London South West London Grin) and it pissed it down here around 4pm. Couldn’t see if there was a storm or not (was looking via Google Home app) but chucked it down with rain.

Rockbird · 12/08/2020 21:47

Someone said it was cooler in the SE today. Don't know where they are but it wasn't bloody cooler here!! It was horribly muggy all day, even when it eventually rained.

Talia99 · 12/08/2020 21:49

Currently pouring down and 21 degrees in the Midlands.

I’ve got all the windows open to try and cool my flat a bit - I managed to keep it to 25 inside today by closing all the blinds but the lower the starting point tomorrow the better.

I’m trying to decide if I’m OK with leaving the upper windows open all night in the living room.
