bloodyhell, haven’t experienced one that ferocious for years! Terribly loud thunder, the type that shakes your home. Flash flooding too in some areas.

But now we’ve got sunshine and warmth again🙂

Have you had a thunderstorm?

30+ degrees here in Suffolk and I’m melting. Not even a cloud in the sky.

TFSRM · 10/08/2020 17:34

@Shadowboy just west of Kidderminster. The rain didn't last long, maybe 10 minutes, but lots of thunder beforehand.

Nanny991 · 10/08/2020 17:34

Massive one here. Chucking it down. I'm in North Wales

Nothing here in Staffs, mate in Huddersfield has had rain for hours

WhereDoesThisToiletGo · 10/08/2020 17:40

Couple of lightnings over the Wirral

CatRamsey · 10/08/2020 17:42

I want one!

Colleagues we're saying we're due 4 days of thunder storms. I hope so. I love a good storm! Provided I can stay inside of course!

It's currently horribly gross and muggy here.

Sheknowsaboutme · 10/08/2020 17:43

Sorry, should have said🤦🏼‍♀️

Snowdonia. 1000 ft above sea level and it was mad!

Well I’ll risk the washing out for a bit longer.
BarefootHippieChick · 10/08/2020 17:51

Fredafox I'm Staffs too, currently hiding indoors, sick of the sun

cringeworthit · 10/08/2020 17:54

The sunshine is cracking the paving slabs here in Bedfordshire. No sign of any rain or storms at all and it is unbearably hot.

MissDollyMix · 10/08/2020 17:55

Would love one, haven’t seen a good thunderstorm in years!! Don’t think we’ll have one in Yorkshire today though. Weather has been lovely. Warm and sunny but not too hot. It’s not muggy enough for a thunderstorm.

ilikemethewayiam · 10/08/2020 17:55

Yep, over north Devon but nothing major. It’s still warm though.

I'm Suffolk as well - been melting in mid-30s for almost a week now. It's supposed to be raining all of next week though - I hope.
Whatsnewpussyhat · 10/08/2020 17:57

Thunder by me but no rain

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 10/08/2020 17:57

Were in the Conwy Valley and had the same thing, it must be moving around us. It was one good thunderstom and the rain was magnificent.
Poor cat hid on Dh's armchair with his head buried.

Ginqueen456 · 10/08/2020 17:57

Pembrokeshire and it hit us around half 11 this morning. It went really dark about half an hour before the thunder started to a point all the outside lights came on and then it poured down all afternoon

itsgettingweird · 10/08/2020 17:58

Central south here.

I want one too

Actually right now I'd be happy not to because I'm about to go out.

But I'll be home at 9 so it can start then Grin

FuzzyPuffling · 10/08/2020 18:00

Yes, it started about 4 am and finished around lunchtime, on and off. Periods of very heavy rain, thunder (but not that impressive) and lightning. It's been sunny all afternoon.

I'm in North Cornwall.

strugglingwithlife · 10/08/2020 18:00

No, just a few loud claps of thunder and literally two rain drops! Now it's sunny again and still humid

PussGirl · 10/08/2020 18:01

I had one at 6am - a bit early to appreciate it properly!

oakleaffy · 10/08/2020 18:01

Like a hot sponge where we are at moment {South West} ..Need a Storm to clear the air.

HatakeKakashi · 10/08/2020 18:02

Oh god I'm terrified of thunder and lightning. Dreading the storms that are due

Pud2 · 10/08/2020 18:04

Wales thunderstorms bring power cuts and flash flooding www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-53726444

HalfBloodPrincess · 10/08/2020 18:05

Hopefully it moves south, and quick! I've had this weather warning on my phone since saturday

We’ve just had the mother of thunderstorms!
