Sent by my GP
As my face on one side has swollen up very badly
Gp said he was worried about sepsis
Definitely wanted a blood test
Said I probably needed IV antibiotics

No itching so not been bitten
No tooth/gum problems
No ones punched me

Guesses?

Hope it's not too long a wait to be seen OP. I reckon you'll be home tomorrow once you've had IV antibiotics.

Ok. More evidence in time wasting

They've taken the woman who was complaining (and having endless phone conversations) about not being seen yet in.

Just because someone is on the phone / watching something, It doesn't mean they arent seriously ill

Iv been in with kidney failure twice and a bad case of viral Hepatitis and to look at me, I looked ok

She and her tv were just very loud and very complainy

I'm sure I'm just creating pain now but it's actually hurting IN my eye now

I'm often on my phone reading Mumsnet in hospital to distract me from my falling apart body.

I hope whatever it is you are seen soon and it is a simple recovery. I’m glad you went back in.

I know it's ridiculous but I was seen much quicker on Saturday when it was ten times as busy - so it's definitely making me think I'm not a priority

Well tbf, you could've gone at 4pm in the afternoon, and then you wouldn't have dealt with the complaining women.

And you probably would've been seen more quickly.

And you wouldn't be so unwell for so long, so, you know, we could all do better.

Probably less staff on at night time. I've had IV a couple of times for cellulitis. Drip in and done in 30 minutes then a nurse came and did a 2nd one at home the next day

Can you tell someone you are feeling worse?

I'm in urgent care - if they thought I needed IV antibiotics I assume they'd have sent me through to A and E

Please tell the receptionist you’re feeling worse and unwell.

Is there no member of staff to speak to at all? They should know you’re feeling like you are getting worse.

Are there any staff about?
