Sent by my GP
As my face on one side has swollen up very badly
Gp said he was worried about sepsis
Definitely wanted a blood test
Said I probably needed IV antibiotics

No itching so not been bitten
No tooth/gum problems
No ones punched me

Guesses?

Thank god you're going back. I know someone who's faved swelled up like that. He went home with antibiotics and it got worse over a few days, the infection went behind his eye and he almost lost sight in one eye. He had to have emergency surgery to save his sight.

I had similar and they kept me in and on a drip for three days.

I reckon you’ll be on their list of potential troublemakers so they will call you into triage then send you to UC then back to A&E then off to x ray then back to A&E then...

I'm now waiting for the miraculous effects of A and E to make me be time wasting - as has happened every other time I've had to come back for the second time

I actually think it's not going to happen this time as I feel like utter bollocks

Been sent to Urgent Care (to see the GP) - guessing he's going to send me for blood test - bit of a queue here

The nurse outside asked why I decided to come on a Mondat night (probably working out if I'm time wasting as lots of people go late on as tv is crap) and I said because I wanted to give them a chance to work

Think of it this way, it’s like a live action version of 24 hours in A&E (or Dante’s Inferno if too many drunks arrive).

There are at least 3 separate people complaining that they haven't been seen and they've been here 2 hours

I am sure they don't need to be here and that I will get called first ...

You should tell them you should have priority as there are a number of people on MN waiting to go to sleep and they need to know what is wrong with you
