I'm so very sorry.

Hand hold here, it's the worst thing that can happen if you're close especially if she's still relatively young. It will get better but 25 on I still cry to my mum at Christmas and on her birthday.

She wasn’t young. She was 81. She had a lot of pain, for decades. But she fought like a little lion, and when the end came it was quick.

My dad passed eight months ago. She died wearing the wedding ring he put on her finger when she was 19. She didn’t take it off even once.

You’re so kind, all of you.

That is such a wonderful thing to have a long loving relationship for all those years. She must have had a happy life.

Your Mum sounds very courageous and your Dad the love of her life. I hope you have lots of happy memories that will bring you some comfort when the worst of the shock is over xx

Gosh I remember that pain and disbelief. I’ve lost both parents too who were very much in love till the day they died. I’m so sorry love.
