Tonight it's like all the pressure of the lockdown has blown open! The People reporting white vans are back, but the most exciting thing is the fact a lamb is stuck in the canal. We're talking full on 'ive got mobile lights im going there now' and rallying around to get the sheep out of the canal, but no one knows where it is.

Fire at a house in Swansea that was struck by lightning. By all accounts the owners were in the hot tub at the time. I am over 400 miles away from Swansea. I have no idea why it's a topic.............

TreeTopTim · 05/06/2020 22:56

My local page is nothing like this. It's all just full of people posting photos of buildings. It is very boring.

SouthernComforts · 05/06/2020 22:58

Our area attracts tourists so they are getting a lot of hate atm, for leaving tons of rubbish behind after visiting when it was warm, blocking all the lanes by parking like twats, pissing everywhere like dogs then leaving all their picnic shit behind. Animals behave better.

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 05/06/2020 22:59

Lambs on the road. Teenagers breaking social distancing. Dogs running through crops. Speeders. What time does the chipper open? Dog poo. Suspicious Men in white vans wanting to cut hedges. Someone found a nice painted stone. Just the usual village crap

Cobourg · 05/06/2020 22:59

Graffiti artists and idiot teenagers gathering at the park.

Angelnix · 05/06/2020 23:00

Hot topics here include the reopening of McDonald's and the important question of how long the queue is, closely followed by repeated questions about what times various supermarkets close and the noise from the overnight essential roadworks........all very thrilling here!

Why53737 · 05/06/2020 23:01

These currently an argument on it whether or not it’s acceptable to drive to sea side destination three hours away. Talks of Mac Donald’s queues.

Angelnix · 05/06/2020 23:01

I forgot the warning of two dodgy looking blokes in a white transit van selling TVs in the Tesco carpark!

ClearEyesFullHeartsCantLoseZ · 05/06/2020 23:02

Haha! Yes the McDonald's opening 5 miles away was a hot topic too, and the fact that day trippers had blocked the only road in and out of the village by parking on it like bell ends so the lorries coming through just took off all the wing mirrors..

bringincrazyback · 05/06/2020 23:02

A lot of nasty prejudice over the 'gippos' as they're very charmingly calling them, that are currently in the area and apparently responsible for every single misdemeanour around here atm.
Also some truly lamentable spelling and grammar.

FluffMagnet · 05/06/2020 23:03

A pet skunk has escaped from their owners' garden so we're all on the look out. The owners have helpfully listed food to tempt said whiffy badger. I'm closing all windows and hoping she doesn't come our way and catch a fright. Since when have skunks become pet de jour in England?!

beansonbread · 05/06/2020 23:03

The massive queue from the newly reopened McDonalds blocking the main road to the supermarket and it taking an hour to get through. This then leads to the argument of “who’s stupid enough to sit in the car for an hour just for McDonald’s?” versus “my kids have been in lockdown for weeks, the least I can do is buy them a happy meal!”

ClearEyesFullHeartsCantLoseZ · 05/06/2020 23:04

@FluffMagnet haha! Whiffy badger! 😂😂 why the hell would you want that as a pet?!

backaftera2yearbreak · 05/06/2020 23:05

I’m north of the border and it’s all about the local Macdonalds queue too lol.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 05/06/2020 23:06

Unfortunately there have been 2 violent assaults this week, both involving teens fighting. A lot of "you don't know the full story so don't comment" going on.

In other news, Aldi didn't have anyone manning the door today to control how many people were going in! Shock

seeyoubugaboo · 05/06/2020 23:08

Well.... it's all kicking off, our primary school has shut because one of our TA's tested positive for Corona virus..... I had to go for a test today along with most of the staff. I've not told anyone but it was me who contact the local rag through FB messenger!!

Juanmorebeer · 05/06/2020 23:08

Mine is absolute drama central ALL THE TIME. But a city area so we have no rural stuff like sheep.

Paperthin · 05/06/2020 23:09

@FluffMagnet a SKUNK wtf? That would send our local FB group over the edge.

We’ve only got ( brave ) rescue of ducklings in the canal and ‘don’t come near me and my dogs’ lady who literally shields the eyes of her GSD when anyone walks past them in the street.

MrsJackRackham · 05/06/2020 23:09

Queue at McDonald's, who delivers a high tea, size of the queue at the dump and a lost pigeon which appears to be wounded. Oh and an armed response unit but that's not been confirmed Smile

TheSherbetTurbot · 05/06/2020 23:10

Frothing at the mouth about (forrin) 'out of towners' and their apparent littering and not be in able to use our beach because they are there. Then going on a non socially distanced march.

Mangofandangoo · 05/06/2020 23:12

Our local group seems obsessed with one cat, he's a bit feral but has owners who usually post a little daily run down for him, what he has been up to - Local residents post pictures if they see him.

This cat is a fucking celebrity

MummyInTheNecropolis · 05/06/2020 23:12

Ours is all about the black lives matter movement at the moment, everyone is very supportive and most are planning to join the local protest tomorrow.

ClearEyesFullHeartsCantLoseZ · 05/06/2020 23:12

There was a bomb at the Co op last week lots of people saying it's was awful, bomb disposal arrived. Took it away turned out to have been left from an atm theft attempt. People messaging to actually ask if the co op was open for milk 😂😂😂

Tourists leaving litter and bbqs, teenagers leaving litter and having bbqs
Bins are out and which bin
Ice cream man is here
Whose cut the grass and big well done to them
An unmarked police car had been spotted (announced to whole group presumably stopping the reason they were unmarked in the first placeHmm )

jigsawaddict · 05/06/2020 23:17

Ours is full of debate whether the local Starbucks is Drive-Thru only, or whether you can also get a takeaway...
