Tonight it's like all the pressure of the lockdown has blown open! The People reporting white vans are back, but the most exciting thing is the fact a lamb is stuck in the canal. We're talking full on 'ive got mobile lights im going there now' and rallying around to get the sheep out of the canal, but no one knows where it is.

A massive argument about pride flags being painted on crossings being a waste of council money, despite these not being paid for by the council. Happens every year

Lots of lovely photos of our main park, this has been a nice lockdown thing that people have done. And a very dapper chap posting pics of himself outside nice doors and local landmarks

Our local group seems obsessed with one cat, he's a bit feral but has owners who usually post a little daily run down for him, what he has been up to - Local residents post pictures if they see him

I would love this

commenting has now been turned off about the surfers' mass paddle out for BLM. Speaks volumes unfortunately.

Lots of arguments over a statue of a "great british hero" who also happened to be involved in slavery. Lots of racist comments. In the biggest group the sole group admin (a tory former town councillor who no longer lives in the area and is now a councillor in a town two counties away) is allowing lots of inflammatory anti-BLM posts but not allowing any posts that support BLM or suggest that our local hero was not as squeaky clean as people think and blocking the posters. He's also removing and blocking anyone who even comments supporting BLM. All the other town groups are full of the people he's blocked kicking off about the way he's running his group. Fun times in my sleepy market town!
