I absolutely love Stickman. DD is obsessed with it and loves wearing the costume. I also like paper dolls though I well up every time I read it.
I don’t like Tabby McTat. I just can’t get the rhyme right!

I hate smartest giant because scarf and giraffe don't rhyme. Love room on a broom.

onemouseplace · 23/05/2020 13:17

My favourite is The Snail and the Whale - I still love reading that to DC3 and there are very few books I feel that about.

I don't like the Owl and the Pussy Cat one.

NuffSaidSam · 23/05/2020 13:18

I love Snail and the Whale.

I don't like Tiddler: The Story Telling Fish.

SuperPixie247 · 23/05/2020 13:19

Ooh I love so many! The Gruffalo as it was the first book my DS showed an interest in.

Not keen on the Flying Doctors. Perhaps the Christmas mini film of it will be better than the book!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 23/05/2020 13:19

Favourite- Paper Dolls. Although it does make me cry!

There has been a few I haven't liked. One was about a boy called Freddie I think. And Everywhere bear.

SorrelBlackbeak · 23/05/2020 13:23

Favourite is the gruffalo's child. Least favourite is zog, because there's a clunky line which doesn't scan or rhyme properly about halfway through

Francina670 · 23/05/2020 13:23

The Smartest Giant is too bloody long.

I don’t actually like any of them that much. Find the rhymes really annoying and they just go on and on and on. The Gruffalo is ok.

fruitpastille · 23/05/2020 13:24

Can't stand Everywhere Bear and Superworm. I like the Gruffalo and Paper Dolls best I think but there are other contenders.

WisestIsShe · 23/05/2020 13:25

Room on the broom is my favourite, closely followed by Sharing a shell. Snail and the whale is my least favourite.

fruitpastille · 23/05/2020 13:25

I forgot Rhyming Rabbit- that's the worst.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 23/05/2020 13:26

We love Tabby McTat! (but we are a very cat-centric/worshipping family). Stick Man is probably our favourite, though.

I, controversially, find The Snail and the Whale a bit tedious.

Bumpitybumper · 23/05/2020 13:26

I'm not a huge fan because of the amount of repetition in the stories that adds very little and becomes very tiresome.

Having said that, my favourite is probably What the Ladybird Heard and my least favourite is A Squash and a Squeeze.

Squaretoe · 23/05/2020 13:27

Favourite is Stick Man.
Least favourite by far is Spinderella, I can’t stand reading it!

FrancesFlute · 23/05/2020 13:27

Love Smartest Giant and Room on the Broom.
Hate Highway Rat and Tabby McTat (boring!).

DS loves One Ted Falls Out of Bed and all the board books like Postman Bear.

She is so talented.

UnaOfStormhold · 23/05/2020 13:27

Smartest Giant is really frustrating and a bit clunky in places. Others I didn't like at first (Tiddler, Stick man) have really grown on me. But a squash and a squeeze I absolutely hate - I just know the old man lives in a huge, luxurious house and would never have to consider living with his livestock! Favourite is probably the Gruffalo or Snail and the Whale.

PeppasMuddyPuddles · 23/05/2020 13:29

Rabbits Nap is DDs favourite.
Least favourite is Tiddler.

twostripycats · 23/05/2020 13:31

How has no one said Sugarlump and the Unicorn? Shock

Doyouwantanothercuppa · 23/05/2020 13:31

Favourite is Tyrannosaurus Drip (I love the “and they hooted ‘Up with rivers!’ bit)
Least favourite is Smartest Giant in Town. As a PP said, I don’t like the scarf/giraffe rhyme.

hanahsaunt · 23/05/2020 13:34

I think that my favourite is Charlie Cook's Favourite Book but many from which to choose ...

LordGarmadon · 23/05/2020 13:34

Favourites: snail and the whale, singing mermaid, Charlie cook

Ones I didn't like have grown on me: tabby mctat, tiddler

I still dislike the Gruffalo's child... it doesn't make sense as a sequel.

Fred578 · 23/05/2020 13:34

Smartest giant is too long. My son loved it for a while and I used to dread bedtime when I would have to read it to him! Love Room on a Broom :)

LordGarmadon · 23/05/2020 13:36

The rhymes are standard southern British English ... giraffe scarf laugh... sounds very odd if you're north of Gloucester.

BikeRunSki · 23/05/2020 13:37

Favourite - Charlie Cooke’s Favorite Book
Least favourite - Highway Rat, Zog,,Tabby McTat - I really struggle with the rhythm of these.

Anywaythewindisblowing · 23/05/2020 13:37

I fucking hate the high way rat. Like zog though. But, in general they really grate on me, not sure why. I think it's the incessant rhyming which doesn't always fit.

AreYouLocal2 · 23/05/2020 13:38

Giraffe and scarf rhyme!
