Will you go out when lockdown is eased?

so say when coffee shops and restaurants are allowed to reopen, will you be going? I can’t see myself being comfortable going out to eat for quite some time

Yup
Although I might not have money to spend by then, but it's not fear holding me back

ActuallyItsEugene · 04/05/2020 14:38

Absolutely.

I will be the first in line at the nearest pub.

Drivingdownthe101 · 04/05/2020 14:38

Naive how? No one is saying that they expect to be doing these things any time soon (I don’t think). Just that when they can go places then they will. I’m not expecting restaurants to open for quite a while but when they do, will I go? Yes. I don’t expect to be visit the IL’s abroad until next year, but when I can I will.

No they dont, stop being so patronising. Nobody said it will all happen on Thursday! Op asked "when...open again".
But once these things are allowed i will be doing mine.
Working in a supermarket i have been in contact daily with a damm sight more people than i will meet in a small coffee shop if numbers are restricted.

bloodyhellsbellsx · 04/05/2020 14:42

Yes and I can’t bloody wait.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 04/05/2020 14:44

Yes. I'd go back to normal tomorrow if I could, with everything - travel, going to restaurants, DS going to school.

Sodamncold · 04/05/2020 14:44

Absolutely

roarfeckingroar · 04/05/2020 14:45

The very second

tiredanddangerous · 04/05/2020 14:46

No. There’s a good chance I would end up seriously ill (or dead) if I caught Covid so I won’t be.

YgritteSnow · 04/05/2020 14:46

Yes but with restrictions. Eg I won't go anywhere at peak time. Early lunches and dinners out so restaurants less busy, and only rarely. Shopping the same; no casual browsing, avoid public transport. Can't see myself ever choosing to do a supermarket shop in person ever again - deliveries only, as long as I can get them.

LaurieFairyCake · 04/05/2020 14:46

Once I've had the antibody test I will be skipping over London like a whirling dervish

DateandTime · 04/05/2020 14:47

Yes, but I think we're a long way off pubs and restaurants being reopened.

hellsbellsmelons · 04/05/2020 14:51

Probably not straight away.
I'll definitely go and see my family and friends but doubt we will go out.

GreyGardens88 · 04/05/2020 14:54

Yes to visit gardens, parks and pursue my outdoor hobbies. Not rushing to go to theatres/cinema/restaurants

fronttoback · 04/05/2020 14:55

I reckon coffee shops and restaurants etc will be a fair way down the list when things start to re-open again anyway.

fourpeasinapod · 04/05/2020 14:55

Does anyone have any predictions as to what will happen in the governments review This week?

Yes, it’s another crystal ball question Grin lol

OP posts:
FoolsAssassin · 04/05/2020 14:59

Not until I have had antibody test and there is more clarity on immunity.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 04/05/2020 15:00

I think a continuation of lockdown until the end of the month then a phased reopening of some businesses and shops. Hopefully allowed to visit family too.

okiedokieme · 04/05/2020 15:10

Yes, first day. I admit I'm a bit blasé about it all. I think I had it very mildly, awaiting opportunity of an antibody test (thankfully on a trial)

okiedokieme · 04/05/2020 15:13

Phased opening from 1st June (possibly garden centres and small shops sooner)

FreckledLeopard · 04/05/2020 15:28

I will be out as soon as I am able. I appreciate the risk regarding the virus is exactly the same and that's a risk I'm willing to take.

Runnerduck34 · 04/05/2020 15:39

Yes i will, but i think it will be a while before restaurants , theatres etc will reopen . Shopping i might do more online, particularly if i have to queue for ages outside.

bengalcat · 04/05/2020 15:41

I'll be first in the queue for hairdresser , waxing and eyebrows etc and look forward to a nice lunch or dinner out in my fave restaurants .

ChipotleBlessing · 04/05/2020 15:44

Not everything. I’ll take the kids back to school and to the playground etc. I’m not going to go for sit in meals, to the cinema etc though. Not that that’s going to be an option for a while.

WyfOfBathe · 04/05/2020 15:49

Definitely! I think it will be quite some time before restaurants and things reopen, so even some people who currently can't imagine it may have changed their mind since then.

I've still been going into work 2 days a week (teacher) so I suppose I've already accepted that there's a risk of getting coronavirus. I think that's made me a lot less anxious about the virus than people whose entire lives have stopped during lockdown.
