so say when coffee shops and restaurants are allowed to reopen, will you be going? I can’t see myself being comfortable going out to eat for quite some time

www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/schools-coronavirus-mark-drakeford-back-18196318.amp

Wales’ first Minister has stated that parents who keep their children home from school, during this pandemic, won’t he fined. This is in Wales. I don’t know about England 🤷🏻‍♀️

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 05/05/2020 18:38

Ah I love it
Hugz hun
Ur lockdown ur roolzGrin

Peggysgettingcrazy · 05/05/2020 18:38

fourpeasinapod yes, its stalking to use a facility for public use, to see if you are usually like this or perhaps have some sort of crisis.

Reading 2 comments you made, is stalking. You are right. Of course you are.

Or maybe you are pissed that it turns out, you don't even stick to the lockdown rules as they are. And that, actually, your daughter has more chance of catching off you than by going to school?

"IF I DONT THINK IT IS SAFE TO SEND MY DAUGHTER TO SCHOOL THEN I WONT. THAT IS FOR ME TO DECIDE"

Absolutely, OP. Others may do things differently to you and that's their prerogative. What you do wrt your children is yours.

fourpeasinapod · 05/05/2020 18:40

Never said I won’t have my dd back in school until 2021. I said schools should remain closed until then

And good luck getting that teacher you punched in the face providing educational resources for your daughter
Maybe you'll have to scale back all the dog walks to actually do some teschingGrin

Peggysgettingcrazy · 05/05/2020 18:41

He doesn't say they won't be fined. He said he would rather not use compulsion.

That doesnt rule it out completely.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 05/05/2020 18:41

Well if the schools are shut you can't send her back can you
Hmm

fourpeasinapod · 05/05/2020 18:42

Hobnobs.

Do you taking everything literally? Hardly going to punch the teacher. It’s an expression convey my anger!

OP posts:
Waxonwaxoff0 · 05/05/2020 18:43

@fourpeasinapod why should schools remain closed until 2021? Some of us want to send our children back. If you don't, that's your choice. But I want to send mine back so I can go back to work and pay the bills.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 05/05/2020 18:43

No it's not an expression to convey anger
And backpedaling makes you look a bit stupid to be honest

Saying you will punch someone (who doesn't actually issue the fine) in the face os mot an expression of anger.

Its someghing immature people say when they cant get their own way.

fourpeasinapod · 05/05/2020 18:46

I’m not remotely interested in what you think. I’ve a pandemic to worry about.

OP posts:
PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 05/05/2020 18:47

Pretty sheltered if that's ALL you have to worry about.

Peggysgettingcrazy · 05/05/2020 18:48

If you were that worried, you would actually stick to the guidlines.

fourpeasinapod · 05/05/2020 18:50

Oh really? Why’s that? Cause I go out more than once a day? Well, let me tell you. Did you know viruses can’t spread if you’re not around people? This virus comes from other people. Did you know that?

Not many are happy to send their kids to school or return to work though.

I never stopped working actually and my ds cant wait to get back to school to see his friends and get on with his exam year and college course. Hopefully at the start of the new term in August. He has ambitions and they dont include sitting at home for a year.

Fourpeasinapod
Do you really expect teachers to be back at school teaching kids and spending their free time setting up stuff online for your kids and any other kids whos parents who just decided that they arent sending their kids in?
Dont send your kids in but dont expect the school to pick up the slack for a whole freaking year! Your decision, own it and homeschool.
"Punch him in the head" Grin pot and kettle right there, yeah right, way to get arrested and your kid expelled. Its not up to head teachers who gets fined, you would be making a right fool of yourself, kinda like you are doing now. Where is all this money going to come from for paying people not to go into work? If shops and cafes and restaraunts etc stay shut much longer they will shut permanently. Is that what people want?

Of course the virus wont go away it will never go away completely, do we stay indoors forever just in case? Big chance of a 2nd wave but there always was, the lockdown was just to slow the wave down so they can cope with another one. Gradual easing of lockdown has to happen or the country will come to a standstill.

Peggysgettingcrazy · 05/05/2020 18:52

yep. Because you arent even sticking to the guidlines.

Depsite saying lockdown shouldn’t be eased. Well of course you don't feel it should. You arent sticking to it. If everyone went out 4 times a day, there would be a problem.

TeensArghhhh · 05/05/2020 18:52

TBH I wouldn’t punch a teacher. Neither would I expect a teacher to teach 30 children if I expected a clap for looking after my own for 6 weeks.

It seems (according to this Govt) that children cannot contract or transmit this virus. I wouldn’t want to be the teacher to prove/disprove this TBH.

I don’t have school aged children (mine are all grown up now) but I would be happy with Sept return to school, at least. June us too early. Except for those children whose parents are happy for them to wander around town, spit on people, cough on people and light mountain fires. There again I pity the teachers who have to turn up for work, and put themselves at risk, to cater for the “children” because their parents can’t.
