Just that really. Feel torn between cancelling and taking a ‘wait and see’ approach.

Keeping for now.

UK based holiday with a small family company and we’d rather they keep the money for now.

delilabell · 11/04/2020 14:23

Keeping for now. Also booked for UK. In August. Hoping it'll be OK but in reality think it won't be

Daffodil101 · 11/04/2020 14:24

We have a European holiday booked. I’m struggling to see how airports and planes will adopt social distancing. From what I can gather, flights will have to operate half empty

Cancelling for August in Asia.

Neolara · 11/04/2020 14:25

Cancelling. Sadly.

ImNotWhoYouThinkIam · 11/04/2020 14:26

Keeping for now as I dont think we can get a refund/whatever until the company cancel. ( I didnt book it. A 'real^ grown up did Grin)
Disneyland Paris in July. Driving not flying. No idea if I should order our passports just in case we are going or spend the money making lockdown a bit easier.

CoraPirbright · 11/04/2020 14:27

Think our week in Greece in early July will be impossible. However we are also due to visit family in a UK touristy area for a few days in mid August. Surely that will be ok? It’s 5 months away!!!

Snowflakes1122 · 11/04/2020 14:30

Keeping! Can’t wait to be able to go. If it has to move, I’ll just move it.

Ilikefresias · 11/04/2020 14:33

Should be going to greece in July, am really hoping it’s cancelled. If not I’m persuading hubby not to go because I don’t feel it’s safe. If things improve here we will look at a U.K. holiday

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 11/04/2020 14:34

We are sitting tight for now-meant to be at a family wedding in Ibiza in July so booked it as our family holiday.
Have a lovely villa and flights organised so we will see if:
they are still having the wedding
our flights get cancelled
Must be terribly stressful for ppl planning summer weddings

lifestooshort123 · 11/04/2020 14:36

Waiting for Ryanair to cancel flight so we get a refund - cancel now and we lose it.

Devlesko · 11/04/2020 14:37

I'm hoping people will keep them and if offered go.
That will take a few more off the 66,000 so fewer of us have to worry about being dead.

flowery · 11/04/2020 14:37

Not yet. We have a UK holiday booked in July and a European one right at the end of August. Don’t know if we’ll be able to go on either but we’ll wait and see.

DobbinEweInn · 11/04/2020 14:41

We've got 3 weeks in Orlando booked for end July. Only paid the deposit and balance due 30/4. I know the advice is to pay balance and just wait out a refund but I don't have the stomach for that, so we're technically cancelling, I suppose.

DazedandConcerned · 11/04/2020 14:41

Moving Egypt holiday from mid-May to end of June. Hopeful we can go, but expecting I'll need to move it again.

Bigger things going on right now, it's just about waiting until governments are confident and comfortable with international travel again. I suspect some countries will open up before others dependent on their need for tourism. Sadly, cash is king and eventually businesses will need to open or go bankrupt.

Matildathehun77 · 11/04/2020 14:42

Cancelled mine a while ago, just didn't want the hassle of waiting and wondering. But the U.K. holiday I should be on now, can potentially be re-booked for August, so that's something to look forward to.

Ginfordinner · 11/04/2020 14:44

Waiting for Tui to cancel our holiday to Sicily next month.

SE13Mummy · 11/04/2020 14:45

We're keeping ours and hoping it will be possible to go as it's the end of August and in the UK.

Friolero · 11/04/2020 14:46

We've postponed our May half term holiday until next year. Have a week booked in August in the UK, and hoping that will still go ahead.

Have flights booked to see family in Egypt at the end of July. Sitting tight to see what happens. If foreign office say it's safe and flights are running we will go.

ReallyLoveChickens · 11/04/2020 14:52

We are waiting for them to cancel so we can get a refund.

Stompythedinosaur · 11/04/2020 14:52

We are booked for Butlins in August - will have to wait and see.

Hoping to go camping when we can if nothing else.

Sounsociable · 11/04/2020 14:54

Didnt have a summer holiday booked, but planned to stay in the uk anyway.i doubt we'll have the money for a holiday even if things are in any way normal

Daffodil101 · 11/04/2020 14:57

I think I’m going to cancel the accommodation, 100% of my deposit is refundable. Then I’ll see what happens with the flights.
