Getting fit indoors - accountability thread

We have been in lockdown for 6 weeks I think and outdoor activity is very limited. I am getting fatter and creakier! Wondered if anybody else would like an accountability thread to post what exercise you are doing every day? I started off well but lethargy has set in and I am feeling less and less like moving but also not sleeping well so I need someone to get me to buck my ideas up!

Ouch, falling down the stairs is no fun!
This weekend I have not been up to much. Went for a long walk every day and also been for one run. Feeling a bit blah with the cloudy, but warm weather.

Another 25 mins Abs class - am I living in vain hope that one day I might be able to see my abs properly 😂?

LaneBoy · 10/06/2020 10:44

Hope you feel better soon lubey
Well done wilderness I’m impressed, I only just managed ten sit ups yesterday 🤣 it’s scary how quickly I get unfit again. But mentally I did feel better while exercising.

25 mins power yoga, I was actually shaking holding the shapes. Rest day (unplanned) yesterday.

LaneBoy · 11/06/2020 20:24

Power yoga sounds scary!

I’ve done my own workouts tues/wed, then did a very brief yoga video (“office break” with Adriene) today as my rest.

That’s great LaneBoy. 25 mins endurance workout. Only two more sessions and I’ve completed my Abs and Glutes 4 week training plan.

rivierliedje · 13/06/2020 13:02

Have barely done anything this week. Went for walks on Monday-Thursday and cycled to and from work on Wednesday.

Wildernesstips · 13/06/2020 18:03

Abs Burn class and boy did I sweat! I haven’t walked at all this last week.

rivierliedje · 15/06/2020 17:13

Two long walks yesterday (12k total) and XBX and first walk done today.

Wildernesstips · 15/06/2020 17:23

Great stuff rivierliedje. Walked for 1hr 15 yesterday and started the Fiit Sweat and Reset training plan today - a sweaty 25 min workout.

Hello! I've had a super lazy week including a fab birthday, my bruises are nearly gone and it's time to get back on the wagon. New playlist lined up and ready to go

lots of gardening needs doing as well so plenty of opportunity to just keep moving

the road to size 10 starts here

LaneBoy · 17/06/2020 11:59

Glad you had a good birthday!

I’ve not managed much this week, felt like I was in a flare up and then realised I’ve forgotten one of my meds all week 😳 so hopefully I will be back on track soon. I did still lose just under a pound this week so hopefully that will continue. Baby steps.

Wildernesstips · 17/06/2020 18:47

Workout yesterday and a yoga session today. Happy Birthday lubeybooby!

lubeybooby · 22/06/2020 08:07

keep forgetting to post but I'm still going!

Wildernesstips · 22/06/2020 18:45

Yes, I’m still going too. Yesterday had quite a nice change in doing a walk in the late evening and we saw a fox. Back on the workout classes today.

lubeybooby · 23/06/2020 12:44

doing 20 mins per day on the elliptical at the moment but I've set the difficulty 2 levels higher than where it was before. Ooof

Wildernesstips · 26/06/2020 20:42

Keep forgetting to check in but keeping up with it. Today was a bit of a change as I did a workout with weights.

Maria53 · 26/06/2020 20:46

I don't know about everyone else but I am struggling with workouts in this heat!

I went for a long walk 2 days ago and another shorter one today. Started weights yesterday and was really struggling in the heat.

LaneBoy · 26/06/2020 20:46

I’ve not checked in for a while. Not done anything at all, having an ME flare up 🙄 feel a little more human today though - left the house for a bit - so I might try some gentle yoga tomorrow

Wildernesstips · 26/06/2020 22:36

I agree that exercising in the heat is not the best, but I coped (Just) with plenty of water on hand.

rivierliedje · 27/06/2020 16:53

Not been doing much. I set up a treasure hunt which involved walking the route four or five times and doing it again tomorrow.
Cycled to and from work once this week (22km). Went on a few other long walks. Because of the heat I went swimming in the sea twice.

Wildernesstips · 30/06/2020 20:40

Treasure Hunt sounds good fun. Since last post

  • another weights workout
  • cardio session
  • yoga (all 25 mins)
LaneBoy · 02/07/2020 14:58

Still nothing here but I was sent a link for a Pilates for hypermobility course so I’m going to give that a go. When my period is less heavy anyway. Some months lately I can breeze through it but this month nope!

We've been doing the joe wicks DVD's ( better than the YouTube ones) 5x times a week for 8 weeks - DH has lost well over a stone and we're both feeling much fitter and stronger. They are only 20 minutes so really doable
