Getting fit indoors - accountability thread

We have been in lockdown for 6 weeks I think and outdoor activity is very limited. I am getting fatter and creakier! Wondered if anybody else would like an accountability thread to post what exercise you are doing every day? I started off well but lethargy has set in and I am feeling less and less like moving but also not sleeping well so I need someone to get me to buck my ideas up!

Mornin all - my mood is slightly improved on yesterday

The exercise yesterday didn't help with it directly but it did use up an hour of my day - 30 mins elliptical then the shower afterwards... and sometimes I really need a little extra something to kill time especially now in lockdown, wfh but things are very quiet. Time was badly dragging yesterday so it helped with that at least!

I'm due a rest day, not sure yet whether that will be today or tomorrow. Hmm.

Ragwort · 14/05/2020 14:23

Followed a HAS fit workout this morning, Really good - lots of different “levels” ( I do low impact Grin) now off for an hour’s walk.

lubeybooby · 14/05/2020 16:46

turns out my rest day was today - really couldn't make myself go and do it, probably not helping that our hot water has died and while I have an electric shower available I prefer my usual shower. Should be fixed tomorrow

Did about an hour’s walk but I feel absolutely drained now which is really unlike me. Just hope it helps me sleep later.

lovinglavidaloca · 14/05/2020 18:30

I haven’t done anything yet today. Today should be a run day but the backs of my knees are really sore - think it was some moves I did in my HIIT workout yesterday.

We’re not eating until half 7 so I’ll need to see how I feel after it. Might just go a walk if I don’t feel like running.

LycraLovingLass · 14/05/2020 21:36

Not checked in for a couple of days, had Monday and Tuesday off, did my own bum focused workout yesterday and body combat today. I was going to skip today but so glad I did it. Feel awesome now. I will do that one again really enjoyed it.

rivierliedje · 15/05/2020 07:58

On Wednesday I cycled to and from work again (11km each way) and went for a 30 minute walk.
Yesterday I didn't do much, short walks on either side of the train to and from work (about 4km in total) and short walk in the evening (another 3km).
It will be similar today I expect.
I had been doing well with XBX workouts, but I can't motivate myself to do them at the moment, even though they take less than 15 minutes.

lubeybooby · 15/05/2020 09:46

still not feeling it and hot water still not fixed but I'm in my workout gear already in the hope that will make it more likely I will do it and going to see if I can come up with a 40 min playlist of music I'm not bored of because that will definitely get my ass in gear. Fingers crossed!

lubeybooby · 15/05/2020 12:20

37 minutes in the bag. Feel like that actually cheered me up today so hopefully this hormonal funk is starting to lift.

lovinglavidaloca · 15/05/2020 16:21

Great we’re all still going!

2.5 miles with the kids today and will do a fitness blender workout when I can tear myself away from my book.

lubeybooby · 15/05/2020 16:47

Does anyone know of any youtube workouts that are just kind of aerobic/dancing about with no floor work?

I fancy jumping around a bit tomorrow but I don't want to work on strength at the mo or do stuff with my step. Cardio is hitting the right spot mentally

LycraLovingLass · 15/05/2020 17:54

Ravefit is just aerobics but it is very clubby music which I love but isn't for everyone. It's not on YouTube but on the Ravefit website.

1 hour body pump today done and dusted.

rivierliedje · 15/05/2020 20:17

SOunds great Looby and Lycra. Really amawzing that you managed to do 37 minutes even though you were unmotivated.

Unfortunately I am feeling very crampy today so have barely moved, 2km walk. But going out for another walk now and hoping to feel better tomorrow for a run.

LycraLovingLass · 15/05/2020 23:53

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

StarlightLady · 16/05/2020 06:22

Three words; skipping rope! Bra!!!!!

lubeybooby · 16/05/2020 08:37

@rivierliedje that's the magic of finding music I'm not bored of to make a playlist with. I set the time on the elliptical to however long my playlist is and then once I'm on it I will keep going purely because I want to listen to my songs. I also take a pic of the time screen at the end and send it to my DD and DP so that sort of keeps me accountable - they don't expect anything from me but I like sending it to them and getting a pat on the back lol

2km walk is still ace!

I will check out ravefit

I do have a speed skipping rope and indeed a very good bra. I have H cup monsters so they need very good scaffolding systems especially if I ever dare use the skipping rope Shock

LycraLovingLass · 16/05/2020 11:57

I love rave fit when I go to the classes I would burn about 600 calories in the hour and have so much fun. I havent actually tried the online one yet though.

Just did half an hour BodyStep, was supposed to be an hour but wasn't feeling it, then some banded squats, firehydrants etc just a little bit of strength work.

I was too busy thinking about how hungry I was, should gave had breakfast first!

lubeybooby · 16/05/2020 14:46

did 34 minutes today

also just received my lookiero parcel clothes subscription thing. I'd been brave and updated my size to 12 knowing that even if I'm not quite there yet, it won't be long. Everything fits, though most items do have at least a little stretch. Still, another good sign towards fitting into THE dress by June 10th

LycraLovingLass · 16/05/2020 15:54

Well done!! Those non scale victories are so motivating aren't they!!! I have my old favourite jeans hanging up to inspire me but I am eating terribly the last month, at least the exercise seems to balance it out!

rivierliedje · 16/05/2020 20:32

Today I have been for a run (37minutes about 5.5km) and I am about to go for a walk. I play Pokemon go while walking, which is a bit silly, but does motivate me to walk at least 50k per week.
Tomorrow I am going to restart XBX, I know I can do it, it only takes a few minutes. And friends have encouraged me to do yoga with adriene, so will join in with that too, as well as a nice long walk hopefully

Wildernesstips · 17/05/2020 08:00

Hi all.
Friday: did nothing (and felt guilty about it)
Saturday: one hour walk
Today: finally did the 80s workout by Kelly Hext on YouTube which was really fun. I’m hoping to fit in my final Pilates class on my Fiit training plan later.

@rivierliedje I like Yoga With Adrienne, she is great.

lubeybooby · 17/05/2020 08:58

Thank you @LycraLovingLass I'm very happy about it. Well done on your efforts too!

@rivierliedje well done to you too

@Wildernesstips and another well done! Go us lot!

I've made a 28 minute playlist of eurovision bangers after watching the tv progs last night and being reminded of a few. I doubt they will stay on my playlists for long but it's something different for today at least to get me moving. Gonna watch the show with all this years entries shortly so that list and hence my workout might get a bit longer.

lubeybooby · 17/05/2020 12:21

31 minutes done - good fun too

HackAttack · 17/05/2020 18:54

12.5 more miles cycled

LaneBoy · 18/05/2020 03:22

I have entirely lost motivation for anything. This week has been a write off! Well done for keeping going, hopefully tomorrow (later today 🙄 I haven’t slept yet) I can report some kind of exercise
