Getting fit indoors - accountability thread

We have been in lockdown for 6 weeks I think and outdoor activity is very limited. I am getting fatter and creakier! Wondered if anybody else would like an accountability thread to post what exercise you are doing every day? I started off well but lethargy has set in and I am feeling less and less like moving but also not sleeping well so I need someone to get me to buck my ideas up!

thanks all Flowers

you can do it @rivierliedje !

rivierliedje · 30/05/2020 10:30

Thanks.
Went for a nice walk last night and am setting out on foot to the opticians today (will be about 7k roundtrip).
I took all my measurments this morning. Planning XBX workout later

lubeybooby · 30/05/2020 11:14

weighed in for the month and have lost another 6lbs. I was going for 8lbs but hey fuck it I'll take the 6! so that's 14lb off since April 1st

I'm celebrating with one full day off the regime. Rest day and and breakfast 2 hours earlier than usual - feels so decadent! Not going to go mad but this will likely involve a couple of snacks when I usually avoid them completely.

enjoyed yesterday off the regime so much that I'm doing it again today - only ended up having about 200 cals more than usual and again today so definitely not the worst 'days off' ever

absolutely back to it tomorrow though

Only walked (Twice) over the weekend but better than nothing I suppose.

rivierliedje · 01/06/2020 09:25

Went out for a longish walk yesterday, meant to go for a run, but never got around to it and then had a spontaneour barbacue with marshmallows in the garden, which wasn't helpful.
Getting properly started today, as it is the 1st of June. GOing out for a run as soon as my phone has charged enough (can't contemplate running without something to listen to).
I have taken all my measurements and weighed in and the plan for this week is to sit at the table for all food, chew properly and not be on the internet when I eat.

lubeybooby · 01/06/2020 11:52

literally anything is better than nothing, well done folks!

28 mins seems to be the fave time and playlist I've settled on. Just finished for today

great plan @rivierliedje good luck Flowers

25 Pyramids which from what I can tell is the same activity three times, but it got my heart rate up, so I suppose that’s OK.

LaneBoy · 01/06/2020 21:37

Yikes I last posted a good few days ago. Only tried my second new workout today! Was good though. I think I’d like my routine to be workout A, workout B, gentle yoga, repeating every three days. Then add in some exercise bike time in the evenings.

Wildernesstips · 01/06/2020 21:57

That sounds like a good plan LaneBoy. I think the variety has made me stick with exercise (8 weeks solid now) - mix of Pilates, circuit style workouts and walks.

lubeybooby · 02/06/2020 05:56

Well by what has to be the slimmest chances ever, my DP appears to have caught covid (38.5 fever, muscle aches, generally feeling weird)

By some miracle, it seems I haven't.

So now I'm on 14 day isolation and also trying to isolate from my own partner in my own house.

We live rurally, in the least infected county, both wfh and have only been out once in the last 12 weeks, to the vet. WTF

Tests are on the way. Already stress eating. Nooooo

Wildernesstips · 02/06/2020 07:47

Hope he recovers soon.

Interesting article in today's Torygraph (never thought I'd find myself beginning a social media post with that line Grin) by a professor of bacteriology expressing scepticism about a second wave. As someone with a background in history (PhD in early 20thc history - left academia due to the crazy workload) I've always been a bit mystified by the Spanish Flu comparisons. 1919 was literally another world in terms of scientific & medical knowledge. In terms of containment, we have so so many resources and so much more knowledge. I would worry more about developing countries, but developed ones do actually have the capacity to manage this now.

rivierliedje · 02/06/2020 22:16

Yesterday: went for a good run and a walk and did an XBX workout. Went for a long walk and did XBX today.

Wildernesstips · 04/06/2020 07:02

Tues: 1 hour walk
Weds: 25 min circuits

rivierliedje · 04/06/2020 07:55

Yesterday: cycle to and from work (22km), walk at lunchtime and again in the evening and XBX

rivierliedje · 05/06/2020 07:42

Thursday: cycle to and from work (28km) and evenign walk

lubeybooby · 05/06/2020 11:24

hi all - our covid tests got sent off today but we no longer think it is actually covid. DP no longer has a fever after it finally broke yesterday, we think it was a bacterial sinus infection

I had a couple of days ott snacking but got it back in check yesterday

not been exercising but just about clinging onto my calorie control and hope to get back on top form again soon. Seems I really struggle to look after myself the way I want to when under stress. My sleep has gone to shit and that always makes things 10x harder

LaneBoy · 05/06/2020 15:14

Hi all. I’m annoyed with myself as not had the motivation to do much. Although TBF during the week I’ve not had much time either! 🙄🤔

I was looking at some tai chi videos last night, may try one.

Wildernesstips · 06/06/2020 08:00

Ooh I had forgotten all about Tai Chi LaneBoy, I went to a class many moons ago but the instructor liked to put his hands on me so I didn’t return.

45 min walk yesterday but rest day on Thursday.

LaneBoy · 06/06/2020 13:28

I did a 20 min beginner tai chi video :) bit tricky to follow at times, there were no verbal instructions and sometimes the camera angle changed but I did quite like it.

Wildernesstips · 07/06/2020 16:30

It’s good to try something new. 25 min yoga this morning and I’ve also done a tonne of back breaking gardening. Can really feel it in my legs, back (and arse 😳)!

lubeybooby · 08/06/2020 06:54

woop! we are covid negative!

It's my 40th birthday Wednesday so that's a nice present, not having to try and isolate from my own flippin dp Grin

However I also slipped down the (hard, wooden) stairs yesterday and am very sore and bruised on my shin, ribs, hips and bum on the left and all up the back of my ankle and calf on the right. So I think my exercise mission will continue when all that feels a bit better.

I'm still doing really well calorie wise though and hopefully that will continue (just most definitely not on my birthday!)

Wildernesstips · 08/06/2020 21:36

Well lubeyboobey that is great news but not so great on stairs fall.

25 minute Abs Burn session today.

lubeybooby · 09/06/2020 08:48

I treated myself to a pre birthday weigh in and have lost another 4lbs

bruising doesn't seem as bad as first feared so I'll get back to the exercise in a couple of days
