We are definitely eating better and more economically because we're eating our way through what we have instead of me deciding to cook something on a whim that requires shopping for ingredients.

The broccoli stems thing was a bit of a revelation. But then most raw vegetables seem to be improved by grating.

According to Nadiya Hussain you can also eat cooked banana skins. I haven't been brave enough for that one yet...

Yes I once saw a video online where a lady livibg in an rco house alluded to making a banana skin cake.

Feeling the need to earn eco brownie points (using the whole fruit!) I decided to try it.

The less said about the results the better. The DS's still rib me about it sometimes.
