yolo Grin

Mustress you highlighting the Friend part of the request gave me a brilliant idea! Hear me out... what if we... create a platform... for Enemies? Shock

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 01/04/2020 21:16

Some people are just so bloody weird. This may of course just be because we disagree and who's to know who's wrong or right?

Sorry, been reading some freds recently which just make me go WTF??

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 01/04/2020 21:27

Hello all

Feeling very feeble today, no appetite or thirst, headache but no fever, feeling quite sickly. I've had this before, it goes away after a few days, no idea why. Can't be Covid as I haven't been anywhere for bloody ages. So although I'm feeling sorry for myself, I am only too aware I'm being a bit of a baby when others are much worse off.

Also I had a very odd dream (I don't usually dream) where I was invited to tea with the Queen, I gave her a cuddle Blush and then Prince Philip came in and I couldn't remember how to address him so I just called him Prince Philip.

Hope everyone is better, DDs are settling back into their usual loveliness, babies are sleeping and DHs are attending to

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 01/04/2020 21:28

Oops, didn't mean to post yet, I hadn't finished with the DHs yet.

Never mind...

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 01/04/2020 21:28

as fleas big hugs hope you feel better soon xx

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 01/04/2020 21:40

Thanks yolo. On the plus side I am several pound lighter. Every cloud...

7Penguins · 01/04/2020 22:09

Feel better soon, Mischief Brew

This job malarkey is seriously hurting my MN habit, can't even post on the HAM thread, it's moving too fast to stay on top of it. Shock

TheMustressMhor · 01/04/2020 23:00

Chaos abounds when you try to work and look after a baby simultaneously, 7.

yolo I need more detail WRT your suggestion.

fleas you might have picked up Covid anywhere since you returned from your last cruise. I mean, before we went into lockdown, you went to the shops, I imagine?

TheMustressMhor · 01/04/2020 23:02

I hadn't finished with the DHs yet

How many DHs were you thinking of mentioning, out of interest?

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 02/04/2020 10:22

At this stage I can't remember what I was thinking five minutes ago, let alone days, so your guess is as good as mine.Grin

We voluntarily self isolated when we got back from our cruise on 3rd March, and haven't been anywhere since. Three very carefully managed shopping trips, with masks, at quiet times of the day, and nowhere at all since ten days ago. Can't see it being Covid.

This morning I managed porridge so I definitely feel better. Hope others suffering from the real deal are on the mend. Dandy, how's your relapse going?

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 12:45

Fleas I'm sorry you haven't been well and wish you a speedy recovery.

I am jealous that you've managed to lose weight, although the means has clearly been unpleasant.

I have done nothing but eat and drink since lockdown commenced. I had a few pairs of knickers which were too large for me a couple of weeks ago - they were heading for the fabric recycling facility.

Now - they fit nicely. Our sherry and chocolate bill is getting very high.

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 12:46

I wonder why you had a dream about Prince Philip.

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 12:49

Oh Heavens.

I have asked yolo to expand on 7's suggestion.

Losing the plot big-time here.

Who thinks I should burn my bridges and accept the Robbing Butcher's FRIEND request?

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 02/04/2020 13:02

You know you want to Mustress Wink

LaMarschallin · 02/04/2020 14:34
Smile
PenguinOrHippo · 02/04/2020 14:56

I would like to know why you are dreaming about Prince Phillip too fleas Wink. I guess it is better than dreaming of Boris as some posters seem to do (not necessarily here)?

Mustress go for it. I would love an insight into the murky mind of the Robbing Butcher!

Mr Hippo brought down the dustiest boxes so far. I am seriously considering putting him in them (good suggestion Mustress). This is how our day goes. I get up, tidy up, make breakfast, call everyone for breakfast, tidy up after breakfast. Clean the flat at the same time as trying to get the little hippos to do schoolwork and music practice. Then I prepare lunch, serve lunch and tidy after lunch. And then more school work, cleaning and a walk with the Little Hippos. And then repeat for dinner.

Mr Hippo wakes up, has breakfast, sits in the bedroom doing important work until lunch. Then he comes down for lunch. And then he goes happily into the attic for more extremely dusty boxes before locking himself in for an afternoon of important work.

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 02/04/2020 15:20

In my dream Prince Philip was really tall. I mean REALLY tall. The Queen was wearing one of her head scarves. Tea was quite modest, much less fancy than I had been led to believe from all those channel 5 documentaries. It was nice of her to invite me though.

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 15:44

Hippo I would have killed Mr. Mhor if he decided that important work was more important than cooking and washing up.

Just saying.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 02/04/2020 16:09

Mr Hippo needs to reflect on his actions I feel... perhaps make him take over breakfast/clearing up duties?

mustress have you thought more about 'taking one for the team'?? (re RB, not anything else of course.)

I cannot believe how much more rubbish I have to shift in the garden. We have 1.5 acres, when we moved here some 22 years ago my MIL told me I'd be able to keep it under control with just 5 mins a day. At the time I had a 2 year old and was pregnant. Ha fucking ha. After spending at least 2 hours a day out there for at least the last fortnight all I can say is ha fucking ha.

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 17:12

Oh my.

I am not usually a shrinking violet, but reading some of the rants on the RB's FB page just cause me to panic.

This is a small village. I have a feeling that if he knew he was the famous "Robbing Butcher" he would take steps.

Unpleasant steps.

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 02/04/2020 19:46

And he has the tools of the trade, Mustress.

LaMarschallin · 02/04/2020 22:20

Good point, Mischief.

We don't want the Mustress to end up as a round square sausage with a side of black pudding.

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 22:29

You know, LaMa I rarely laugh at a post on MN but that did make me snigger immoderately.

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 22:31

And I have decided NOT to accept the Friend Request.

The RB might murder me and feed me to the new hens.

I would put nothing - NOTHING - past him.

TheMustressMhor · 02/04/2020 22:34

My MIL told me I'd be able to keep it under control with just 5 mins a day

yolo my MIL told me I would be able to keep Mr. Mhor under control with just five mins a day.

I suppose I should have asked her what she meant...
