I must change my user name back.

TheMustressMhor · 08/04/2020 11:32

Good morning everybody.

I have been away from my desk for a day or two.

It has been very illuminating.

I hope you are all thriving and cheerful. Mr. Mhor has requested some Miracle-Grow for his azaleas, I ordered it to keep him quiet.

The cats will have dug them up long before the Miracle-Grow arrives.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 08/04/2020 12:24

I have been wielding a chain saw this morning, not on my nearest and dearest as that would be Wrong. Trying to turn an overgrown hawthorn back into a tree and removing brambles from the top of it. I fucking hate brambles.

TheMustressMhor · 08/04/2020 12:47

yolo every post you write seethes with activity.

I haven't got a tenth of the energy you have.

Chain saws...…………….whatever next?

TheMustressMhor · 08/04/2020 12:49

I mean, the nearest I got to heavy plant was when the angle-grinder briefly formed part of our lives.

I am still not keen on that patio.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 08/04/2020 13:12

lol mustress you must resign yourself to the patio, and think of ways to make it a 'feature' - after all mr. mhor is not going to dig it up again now is he? Perhaps a fountain, or some statues - you could go the classical greek route, or cheer it up with some gnomes?

TheMustressMhor · 08/04/2020 13:14

No no no not gnomes.

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 08/04/2020 13:30

you could go the classical greek route

I see what you did there yolo Wink

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 08/04/2020 15:04

fleas Grin

TheMustressMhor · 08/04/2020 16:08

Mr. Mhor is not going to dig it up again now is he?

I wouldn't put it past him.

Hmm
LaMarschallin · 08/04/2020 16:23

Indeed.
A lovely statue of Adonis, say, by a nice deep
and meaningful well.

Although as the weather in 'Argyll (and Bute) is shite, Mr. Mhor and I have not spent any time on/in/beside the patio.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 08/04/2020 19:25

DH is playing some "banging choons" in the kitchen while cooking. Cooking is forgiveable, but the music is giving me a headache although the DDs seem to be enjoying it too.

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 08/04/2020 19:42

We fired up the chiminea last evening. Jeez, the SMOKE! Have ordered some charcoal for the next "burn". Was quite nice though to sit out at dusk with nothing but the whirring of a police helicopter overhead...

7Penguins · 08/04/2020 19:59

with nothing but the whirring of a police helicopter overhead...

Looking for illegal gatherings no doubt Grin

TheMustressMhor · 08/04/2020 21:34

Ah yes. The police helicopter.

Why do you think they were whirring overhead chez fleas?

TheMustressMhor · 08/04/2020 21:35

And are any of you going to five your hard-earned cash to MN so that you can get some extra, unnamed benefits?

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 08/04/2020 22:18

I don't think the police were watching us especially, Mustress, although they may have been summoned by our billowing smoke signals.Blush

I'm not sure about Premium. If I could block people I might consider it. Not even joking.

TheMustressMhor · 08/04/2020 22:26

Block people?

Yes. That sounds goooooood.

That would be worth fifty quid a year. Bargain.

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 08/04/2020 22:43

It would at the moment, Mustress. We'd get our money's worth on the media thread, that's for certain.

yoloPenguinsEatfish · 09/04/2020 08:12
PenguinOrHippo · 09/04/2020 08:22

Good morning. Lovely day here where we are Smile.

Hmmm I am a bit concerned about MN having my credit card detail, like some PPs. I like the block idea though. How lovely! Can you imagine how infuriating for some posters. Especially if they do it so you block the poster, not the temporary user name...!

Myimaginarypenguinhasfleas · 09/04/2020 08:43

I've suggested a block button on Justine's thread!

I'm normally very appreciative of MN people and their work, they do seem lovely when they appear randomly on the threads, but I feel very disappointed by the way the H&M threads are moderated, and the way posters have been spoken to and treated by HQ.

Chickens are coming home to roost, I'm afraid.

TheMustressMhor · 09/04/2020 13:23

DOUBLE-YOLKER AT MHOR COTTAGE

I'm sure you will all be delighted to learn that today's egg was not only dippy, and from the new hens, but also a double-yolker.

That has made my day.

McVicar jumped on to the table to get a piece of bacon.

I have nothing further to report at the moment, although I am just about to peruse the site, and may come back with new thoughts to share.

Still not decided about paying for MN. After all, I pay the Robbing Butcher extra for his quality produce.
