Is anyone else experiencing this? Not a single slot as far as the calendar goes (3rd April)

Middelager that's worrying. I've got a Tesco order due this week. I'm a new customer but we're at home because we are in the elderly/vulnerable category. How do they know who is and who isn't?

girlsyearapart · 23/03/2020 07:49

We are in a London borough and I can’t get a slot for any of the supermarkets or amazon fresh or any delivery place at any time..
I am also a regular customer.
We are isolating as I have multiple sclerosis so on the vulnerable list.
It’s so hard Sad

MagicKingdom17 · 23/03/2020 08:06

So they have changed the layout of the app. If you are identified as vulnerable, you can book a delivery slot.
No click and collects despite them saying they will add more stores to the list.
Any ideas when they will add these?

You can now ring them

Have we got it wrong?
We’ve already been able to identify some of our vulnerable customers through the information that we have about them. But we know that we haven’t identified everyone.

We’re working hard, alongside the government and retail industry, to identify more of them.

If you’re elderly, disabled or vulnerable and think you should be on our vulnerable customer list, please get in touch.

Tesco lady at click and collect on sat told me they are only allowed to deal with 8 orders an hour now.

Marieo · 23/03/2020 16:23

@weatherchannel the military are earmarked to help deliver supplies plus prescriptions for those who need it, no idea if you can choose shopping or if it's the same stuff though!

peachgreen · 23/03/2020 16:27

I don't think we count as vulnerable but both DH and I are on the Government's list of people who should follow strict social distancing. Can't get a delivery slot or a click and collect slot. No local family, no friends able to do a shop for us. What are we supposed to do? (Genuine question, not throwing my toys out of the pram!)

weatherchannel · 23/03/2020 17:03

I know in my area people are offering to help on Facebook and nextdoor. I can invite you to join nextdoor if anyone is interested I just need an email address

I’ve just managed to get a delivery slot on ASDA for this Wednesday. There were none left on other supermarket websites, couldn’t get onto Ocado at all, was put in a two hour queue but ASDA had a few slots for Wednesday and Thursday this week where I live. Most things I wanted were showing as in stock so will be interesting to see what turns up on Wednesday!

angstridden2 · 25/03/2020 19:18

Just managed to get a sainsburys click and collect slot for weekend. Spent 30 mins putting in order, have slot showing and basket accepted, then try to complete and can’t register (never used online before )as not taking new customers. Husband and I 70+, now will have to brave shops. What’s the point of their it systems?

Metropole · 14/01/2021 15:41

I have given up with Sainsburys. Just cannot get slots. They don't seem to be prioritising older or vulnerable people. ASDA are doing a lot better as are Tesco.

Frestba · 14/01/2021 19:14

I've got one with Asda, although haven't used them before.

Metropole · 14/01/2021 22:58

We registered with Sainsburys as elderly on their recommendation. But still no slots.

Deelish75 · 14/01/2021 23:10

@Metropole how many weeks ahead are you seeing? I’ve a delivery pass and get to see two weeks ahead, in my area all slots are gone for the next 7 days but after that there’s a good selection. Lots of click and collect slots too.

Crazydogmumma · 14/01/2021 23:12

Wow- just checked my local Tesco and 4th Feb is the earliest delivery date available!

VanillaSheHer · 14/01/2021 23:18

Nothing here for Sainsburys tomorrow or Saturday, but loads from Sunday onwards and everyday next week.

Topsyandtimison37 · 14/01/2021 23:19

A delivery driver for Tesco told me loads of drivers were isolating so they were struggling.
