Just that really.

Mine is my fluffy throw for the sofa I’m currently snuggled up in and them cork heat stands you use to put hot pans and trays on from IKEA Grin

I've bought a couple of things in the past year that I really like:
Macbook
Sainsbury's fake Le Creuset casserole dish
My first ever (second hand) i-phone!

I'm also absolutely loving the Himalayan salt lamp that I got for Christmas. It makes the room feel so cosy. I'm definitely going to get a few more for other rooms.

My Osprey Jill laptop rucksack, 9 years on I’m using it daily and it’s not worn at all. Get lots of abuse looks as good as new and is very comfortable commuting on bike and train. Not sure if they are available any more but I can see this lasting another 10 years! Weirdly get a lot of compliments about it

peoplepleaser1 · 01/01/2020 14:49

My dog and my cat. One much more expensive than the other. Both wonderful and the source of so much happiness and contentment.

BlueSkies2020 · 01/01/2020 14:50

^ it’s the Osprey flapjill

covetingthepreciousthings · 01/01/2020 14:52

Sonos speakers. I love them, play music through the house every day.

Also, I'll add my Cambridge satchel to the list too, I wasn't sure when I bought it, but it still looks brand new despite having owned it for at least 4 years now.

Thefaceofboe · 01/01/2020 14:53

@peoplepleaser1 hmmm, I’d of said my 2 cats but they were given for free Grin I do bloody love them

IKEA Poang chair - just the comfiest thing ever, for nursing and general lounging around.

My old car, now sadly scrapped - it cost us £800 seven years ago, was a real pleasure to drive and took us all over Europe. Worth next to nothing in car terms but gave so much enjoyment.

Taddda · 01/01/2020 14:55

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Himalayan Salt lamp! Was just looking at these, do you find them calming??

(Sorry double shot that one on there...!)

SummerintoAutumn · 01/01/2020 15:00

For the kids - a trampoline with net. Had years of use out of it.

confusedandemployed · 01/01/2020 15:00

My dogs. 13 years and 17.5 (so far) years of love and joy on eight legs.

LuluBellaBlue · 01/01/2020 15:06

Love my salt lamps as previous poster, in the evenings I rarely use normal lights now they all seem far too harsh. Makes all the rooms warm and cosy.

I bought an OXO veg peeler about 10 years ago - makes peeling any veg a doddle, I now would struggle to use any other one.

Had a log burner installed - best present to myself ever!

Bought some lash growth serum, love my longer thicker lashes!

Bitofnamechanging · 01/01/2020 15:11

My robot hoover. £100 and it's changed my life

mildlymiffed · 01/01/2020 15:12

-My heater airer! Made drying clothes in the winter a dream.

  • My work wheelie bag. No onsite car parking, and was finding carrying my laptop etc. a ball ache. I look like I'm permanently going away for the weekend, but it's saved my back.
  • And my running belt to put phone and keys in.
Justmuddlingalong · 01/01/2020 15:13

My passport. And every holiday I've travelled on it.

Tigger001 · 01/01/2020 15:14

My Dyson hairdryer
Then dyson hair wrap.

Love my cordless Hoover

Pretty boring really

LidlDonkey · 01/01/2020 15:18

Reclining sofa.
A black jacket from Hennes and Mauritz (as H&M was called then). Bought in 1983 and I still wear it.

peoplepleaser1 · 01/01/2020 15:22

@Thefaceofboe, my cat was almost free, I gave a donation. Dog was much more expensive. They are both the best things we ever bought.

Dog adores us all, so eager to please, always happy and so much fun.

Cat tolerates us, does everything his own way, is grumpy and has turned us all into his willing servants. Love him!

Thefaceofboe · 01/01/2020 15:25

@peoplepleaser1 that’s cats for you Grin ours are super friendly and loving but they are only 1, there’s time yet...

We’d love a dog but due to working such long hours it wouldn’t be fair on them.

Nivea chapstick, the pink one

Wireless bras, from loads of different shops (New Look, H&M, Victoria's Secret...)

Crossbody bags

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 01/01/2020 15:26

My dog.
Heated Lakeland fake fur throw. I use it every day in the winter and it was worth every penny. I couldn't be without it.
An iPad each for my children.
Amazon Prime membership - it's worth it in so many ways. Same and next day delivery has saved the day on more school projects and costume days than I can count, cheaper movie rental £5.99 on sky £1.99 on Prime. Loads of free books and music.
A big cuddly octopus we bought on holiday. Dd had spent all her money when she saw him and fell in love and I really debated whether I should buy him as a lesson on sensible spending. But I did and she's never slept without him and rarely goes anywhere without him to the point if she's not carrying him I look at her and can't work out what's missing for a moment.

Southmouth · 01/01/2020 15:33

Big trampoline with safety enclosure and smoby playhouse, both has had so much use from them in all weather.

My coffee machine, couldn’t be without now.

Extra long hot water bottle, absolutely love curling up on the sofa in the evening with it.

Thefaceofboe · 01/01/2020 15:34

@Southmouth oh I have one of them long hot water bottles, they are great!
