That's right Blue, Penny has gone through one of the most horrendous things that can ever happen. Her daughter Leonora was only 5 when she died from cancer.
Doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, famous or not, no ones child should go before them.

Are you really saying you do not understand the benefits to the economy of the Royal Family? Tourism to see them and London runs into billions ( £1.8 billion in 2017)

countries like France manage just as well, and tourism would benefit a lot more if places like Buckingham Palace were opened all year round - we are already paying for them (directly or indirectly) anyway, might as well make more money out of them.

PicsInRed · 21/12/2019 20:36

It's a fairly open "secret" that the DoE is in a LTR with Penny Mountbatten and HM was in a LTR with Lord Porcester (until he died). Prince Andrew is rumoured to be Porcester's son.

Prince Andrew is rumoured to be Porcester's son.. Really? Nooooo! Where did you hear that?

SunshineCake · 21/12/2019 22:10

There are some stupid posts on this thread and some sad posters. Sad as in pathetic and embarrassing.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 21/12/2019 22:25

Another small point is that Lord Porchester died on 11th September 2001 - in other words, what became known as 9/11

The famous quote from the queen - "grief is the price we pay for love" - was rumoured by be inspired by his death, rather than the more infamous events of the day

GoFiguire · 22/12/2019 00:24

Wow they kept that quiet!!!!

WireBrushAndDettolMaam · 22/12/2019 00:35

Ooh I can totally see a resemblance!

I can't.

AJPTaylor · 22/12/2019 08:21

Neither can I, that's hilarious.

RuggyPeg · 22/12/2019 08:33

There's absolutely no resemblance, going off that photo.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 22/12/2019 08:50

There is somewhat of a resemblance between Princess Eugenie & Pochy’s grand daughter Lady Saoirse Herbet

PA has a totally different facial structure to Lord Porchester, but a similar one to the DoE.

PortiaCastis · 22/12/2019 09:26

The muck rakers are out in full force today

Sparklybaublefest · 22/12/2019 11:12

i wondered about that too, the porcester link

WireBrushAndDettolMaam · 22/12/2019 11:51

Oh I definitely see it. I’m not one for conspiracy theories. I hadn’t heard this one before this thread. I googled porchester, (never heard back of him before) and instantly saw a resemblance.

halocompanach · 22/12/2019 14:19

I hope the ones who think there is a resemblance there are never asked to pick somebody out in an identity parade.

WireBrushAndDettolMaam · 22/12/2019 14:43
Grin

From my perspective i hope those that can’t see it never are!

paradyning · 22/12/2019 15:33

Government papers around the time of Andrew's brith are also sealed for a very long time. Longer than normal.

eddiemairswife · 22/12/2019 16:14

Some years ago [ saw a photo of Lord Porchester at the age Andrew then was. I could certainly see a resemblance.
I used to think my father looked like the King, and when I found out that Dad''s family came from Hanover I was convinced we were related to Royalty.

IcedPurple · 22/12/2019 16:30

Even allowing for the fact that none of us really has a clue what she's like in 'real life', QEll is probably the very last person I could imagine having an affair and bringing a 'cuckoo into the nest'. At the time of his birth, Andrew was next in line after Charles. No way the queen would risk having an heir out of wedlock.

PortiaCastis · 22/12/2019 16:34

Wish Queenie would one day stick two fingers up and tell folk exactly what she thought of them questioning her second son's parentage

VanyaHargreeves · 22/12/2019 16:37

I know it's an unseemly rumour but Andrew's claim to the throne is through the matriarchal line, and as Phillip is the legally named father, he isn't nor will he ever be a "declared bastard" like some of the sons of Kings.

Lord P has a granddaughter. She could pass for Eugenie's sister far more than Beatrice.

Grin Great come back!

VanillaSugarr · 22/12/2019 16:41

My son looks like Boris Johnson but I can categorically reassure you that I have never had sexual relations with that man.
