I don’t think it’s out until tomorrow, except for previews for film reviewers, I suppose.

Surely it cant be as bad as all that, I was looking forward to it too.

Horsemad · 19/12/2019 17:31

Not released until tomorrow.

I loved the stage show but not sure about seeing the film.

BloodyCats · 19/12/2019 17:32

It’s not out till tomorrow. If it’s anything like the musical it will be shit.

The storyline will be shit, I think that’s a given. But if you like lots of singing and dancing you can’t go wrong.

Figgygal · 19/12/2019 17:34

Nah it looks horrendous
The reviews so far are hilarious to read probably more entertaining than the film

lovemenorca · 19/12/2019 17:35

Only reason was I thought something I could watch with the children and get a semblance of enjoyment out of it myself.

Frozen 2 here we come!

I was looking forward to it and I enjoyed the trailer but the reviews are horrendous.

YorkieTheRabbit · 19/12/2019 17:38

I’ve seen the stage production, well half of it. We left at the interval, it was that dire. If the film is anywhere near as bad then good luck at managing it to the end credits Xmas Grin

formerbabe · 19/12/2019 17:40

I thought something I could watch with the children

My dd saw the trailer in the cinema and was petrified...she covers her eyes now everytime the advert comes on the tv

bengalcat · 19/12/2019 17:40

Going on Saturday - looking forward to it . Liked the musical and it does have a great cast . Never paid any attention to reviews / what others think anyway - that’s just their perception .

Roomba · 19/12/2019 17:40

I have never fancied seeing Cats (the show or the film) until I read so many hilarious reviews Grin. I am very tempted to go and see it just to see if it is truly as entertainingly bad as the critics say...

PanamaPattie · 19/12/2019 17:43

I thought the trailer was as creepy as fuck and I won't be going to see it.

WoodliceInSunderland · 19/12/2019 18:03

It looks horrendous, I can't believe so many people agreed to be in it!

Dowser · 19/12/2019 18:47

I’ve been looking forward to it..didn’t realise it was going to be sad though

HRH2020 · 19/12/2019 18:58

"More obscene than the human centipede" 😂

That review actually makes me want to see how bad it is.

Singlenotsingle · 19/12/2019 19:01

The critics don't always get it right.

FenellaMaxwell · 19/12/2019 19:02

I saw half of a screener. It’s extremely, extremely bad. So bad you can physically feel your anal sphincter clenching in awkwardness. It’s BAD.

rookiemere · 19/12/2019 19:06

Yorkie I left the Cats stage production half way as well, it was so tedious. The trailers for the film look absolutely dire.

SmileCheese · 19/12/2019 19:13

It looks horrendous, I can't believe so many people agreed to be in it!

This is what I keep wondering! How on Earth did they get so many well know people to be in it, it looks terrifying, its well known there is little to no plot line in the musical and the CGI looks like something a 10 year old created.

I appreciate that reviewers don't always get it right but I highly doubt its going to be worth seeing when so many reviewers have come to a similar conclusion!

JohnLewisIain · 19/12/2019 19:15

The critics weren’t in favour of The Greatest Showman and looked what happened there.

This is the greatest show 🎵

SpeedofaSloth · 19/12/2019 19:17

Frozen 2 was superb, see that instead Smile

WheresMyChocolate · 19/12/2019 19:20

The first half of Cats is dire but those of you who left early missed out because the second half is wonderful.

MrsJoshNavidi · 19/12/2019 19:25

Hold on for a week and go and see Little Women instead.
I can't wait for that to be out. I loved all four books as a kid, and again as an adult.

ShootTheRunner · 19/12/2019 19:27

I'm not fussed on Frozen but I really enjoyed Frozen 2. So if you do go to that instead, you might be pleasantly surprised!

SinisterBumFacedCat · 19/12/2019 19:28

Titanic and Bohemian Rhapsody got bad critical reviews...

TheLastBiscuitInTheJar · 19/12/2019 19:28

The critics weren’t in favour of The Greatest Showman and looked what happened there.

They were right though. It was bad.
