MarshaBradyo · 24/09/2019 10:57

Interesting

SleepingStandingUp · 24/09/2019 11:00

So what now??

YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/09/2019 11:01

Fuck. I just checked the Graun. Is this a spider brooch?

crosstalk · 24/09/2019 11:03

While I'm glad to know no one's above the law, where does this leave HM and more importantly the rest of us?

Stopyourhavering64 · 24/09/2019 11:03

Great news....let's hope this means Bojo has to resign!

Thehagonthehill · 24/09/2019 11:03

So are the other parties going to cancel their conferences?
Could be a good thing for the Tories so that we don't have to watch the infighting we have just witnessed fro Labour.
What do they hope to achieve in 3 weeks where years have failed. They know what they don't want but otherwise this will make no difference.
Labour are on the fence until the win an election and then have another referendum.Libdems want remain and(U think) Conservatives want out.
So they will agree nothing..

HollowTalk · 24/09/2019 11:04

It's the first bit of good news in three years! So fantastic. And so bloody obvious, too.

BenWillbondsPants · 24/09/2019 11:05

So it seems he's a liar and a shyster? What a surprise.

BenWillbondsPants · 24/09/2019 11:06

@YetAnotherSpartacus

LOVE that brooch!

FilthyBiscuit · 24/09/2019 11:07

Great news. I was worried it would go the other way.

What happens now? I bet he doesn't resign.

ageingdisgracefully · 24/09/2019 11:07

I'm wondering about HMtheQ too. Not reflecting well, is it?

Paddington68 · 24/09/2019 11:07

Is the ditch ready?
Liar, liar, pants on fire.

CrotchetyQuaver · 24/09/2019 11:08

So what will happen now, will they recall parliament in the middle of the political conference season? I suspect that's unlikely.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/09/2019 11:09

@BenWillbondsPants - I just tried to watch the judgement on the BBC site but had to stop because I kept imagining the brooch jumping on her neck...

Bluntness100 · 24/09/2019 11:10

friggen hell.

Parliament will be called back. What Boris will do now is anyone's guess. He'd be off his head to try to prorogue again, they will immediately take him out his job,

Ilikewinter · 24/09/2019 11:11

So what happens now?? , does it go to a vote of no confidence and if so who steps in as caretaker prime minister.....and do we go to a general election??

What an absolute mess.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 24/09/2019 11:11

Yes! The first step on the road to reason.

housemdwaswrong · 24/09/2019 11:12

I bet he doesn't resign. Parliament will reconvene, and the will be lots of demands but the guy has a skin like a rhino. A vote of no confidence however and a general election surely have to be tabled now?

MrsMaiselsMuff · 24/09/2019 11:17

Labour conference finishes tomorrow. Conservative conference is Sunday to Wednesday.

Labour are looking to be back in Westminster by lunchtime tomorrow, as are the other opposition parties. Boris is in New York...

boujie · 24/09/2019 11:18

Baroness Hale has a series of fabulous brooches

MrsMaiselsMuff · 24/09/2019 11:20

There's still a problem with calling a GE because it takes us past October 31st. We'd need to look to the EU to see if they will unilaterally extend the current deadline.

HollowTalk · 24/09/2019 11:22

What a fucking mess. And with the Labour Party conference going as it was, too, I don't think there's an opposition.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a vote of no confidence in Corbyn soon, too.

Bluntness100 · 24/09/2019 11:24

I think parliament will be reconvened tomorrow.

God knows what Boris will do, I doubt it will be to resign. He can argue he thought it was legal and just take it on the chin.

Ultimately they will call a vote of no confidence and take Boris out I think. Then a caretaker government will take over with ken Clarke at the helm. He will get the extension, table a general election and likely a referendum before hand.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/09/2019 11:27

Baroness Hale has a series of fabulous brooches

So she does. So why did she pick that one :(
