@actaea
Can't even count the number of times I've had to say this but unfortunately here we are again.
Freedom of movement has been incorrectly applied by the UK not by the EU.
The EU wording is 'Freedom of movement for workers' it allows for people who have a job in another European country to move there. People who do not have a job need to be actively seeking one and the country can choose how long they consider 'reasonable' to allow them to find a job before they have to leave.
The Home Office in the UK could not figure out a method for tracking people or could not be bothered so took it to mean 'Freedom of movement' generally and to allow any EU national to love to the UK and stay forever.
If you have a problem with that policy then your problem is with the UK government not with the EU.
Personally I'm happy with Freedom of movement as it stands, you clearly aren't.
Given that the UK Home Office have historically been absolutely incompetent when managing immigration, what makes you think they will be able to amend that to something you can deem acceptable after Brexit?
